Twilight Zone Marathon Starts Tomorrow On SyFy

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
Your reminder that starting, as tradition, SyFy will air all of the original Twilight Zone episodes back-to-back.

The marathon begins at 3am Pacific time on December 31st and goes all the way through to January 1st, 2021.

I did this last year while consuming large amounts of very cheap vodka.

I'll be doing the same this year because my best friend (formerly?) apparently hates me. Except vodka I'll be drinking chardonnay.

Yay.

That's about the only reason I had satellite back in the U.S. Just to watch the SyFy miniseries reruns and Twilight Zone on New Years. I bought the Definitive Collection - so...I can watch any episode any time. You should have asked what everyone's favorite episodes were OP Darkmakaimura Darkmakaimura

Can't get over Burgess Meredith's performance in Herny Bemis on Doomsday. Rod Serling was a genius and none of the spin-off Twilight Zones matter compared to his. Also, check on "Night Gallery" seasons 1-3; well worth the watch and pretty much the last big project Serling was involved with prior to his death.

Okay so what are everyone's favorite episodes?

I still don't know what mine are.

Dunno, some episodes like the one with black lives matter sign on the wall sounded like it mattered more the propaganda than the actual plot. That didn't turned me on. First season had it highs but it also had several lows. Second season I've stopped at the fist episode although it was a good one imo.

The original Twilight Zone aired in 1958 or so; there was no BLM.

The series is also on Hulu and Netflix, if you don't want ads. But the SyFy marathon brings back good memories.

Too many good eps to name (and also a lot of crap ones), but some of my favorites:
S1: A World of Difference
S1: A Stop at Willoughby
S3: The Shelter
S3: The Midnight Sun

One of my favorite traditions, i remember watching these at family get togethers for new years when i was a wee lad

granted they are now available on nflx - ill try to catch a few as the weathers gonna be shitty af and ill be looking for stuff to watch

I'm talking about the original black and white series.

The 80s reboot was pretty good, though.

Also I actually really liked Twilight Zone: The Movie. I loved the remake of the episode "It's a Good Life" where the Bart Simson girl gets thrown into a cartoon and ate.

Twilight Zone is good, the 90's reboot of Outer Limits is better
There were some really good eps of the 90s Outer Limits, but also a whole lot of crap to wade through. I love that era regardless, though--so earnest and cheesy. The show was like a version of "Are You Afraid of the Dark" for older teens and adults.

Got the DVD boxset years ago. Haven't watched for ages.
But "To Serve Man" has gotta be up there.

For anyone who doesn't have cable or the DVD sets, all of the original Twilight Zone is on Netflix.
I don't think the Outer Limits is, though, but that shows a mixed bag anyway.

I don't have Nutflix. Just basic DirectTV.

In Canada you have to watch it on CBS All Access. This thread inspired me to rewatch the series, half way through Where is Everybody.

I loved this show as a kid, but haven't watched it in a long time.

They played that genie episode which I first saw last year.

Whoever that actor was who played the genie, he was great.

I'm watching "The Obsolete Man" for the first time.

Oh shit this episode is good and frighteningly relevant for our time.

I just finished watching the episode with the major, clown, hobo, ballerina and bag pipe player. I won't say more for those who haven't seen it but it was good.

Right now they're showing the classic "To Serve Man" episode.
