I think they canned the Twisted Metal reboot? Or maybe that was whatever live service version they were doing.Where is my fucking game Sony ?
Give me Battle Royal Twisted Metal NOW
Also, the first season was awesome. can't wait.
If it helps set expectations, imagine more Twisted Metal 3 and 4 (also Head-on and Small Brawl) in terms of the show's zanyness, rather than the brooding/dark Twisted Metal Black (and to a lesser extent, 1).I never saw season 1, will I understand the plot?
Edit: I assumed this was for a live service game and was making a joke… I'm not sure what's a dumber idea, a live service game, or an actual TV show about twisted metal.
Yup live service game in development got canned with a bunch of over service games. It sounded like dog shit anyway. Talk of leaving the car lol.I think they canned the Twisted Metal reboot? Or maybe that was whatever live service version they were doing.
One of the dozen-ish games they cancelled in the last year or so. Quite why they cancelled twisted metal and kept concord and fairgames I have no idea.Where is my fucking game Sony ?

out of all the games they canned, they picked a one that has an original idea for Battle royal cars that would have been a huge seller if it was done right. One of the dozen-ish games they cancelled in the last year or so. That is the great thing about entertainment media. Not everything is made for everyone. I really liked the first season much more than I expected I would. Looking forward to season 2.Tried a few days ago to watch the first season and couldn't make it past 10 minutes.
I'm guessing they wasn't putting enough love into it then the show blew up bigger than they thought & whatever they had coming wasn't good enough & probably would have brought down the value lolWhere is my fucking game Sony ?

Just realized they brought our man Sweet Tooth back! Just like I had advocated before and they took my idea of a season 2.
What do you think Gaf mods/community? Sweet tooth was really cool, even if being just a bit over-the-top, and I always got a lot of amusement out of his crazy antics. He was downright hilarious at times too!
We either bring him back or lose a lot of good discussion here. Now we could do it in a few different ways. I was thinking in a season 2 TV show or another Twisted Metal game. Perhaps in another Sony fighter with his own story? How would you like to see a return of one of Sony's oldest icons?

It should be a crime how much little attention this show gets compared to rubbish like The Last of Us.The best game to TV show along with Fallout.
Looking forward to season 2 a lot and this is coming from someone that never played any Twisted Metal game just watched all the cutscenes from all the Twisted Metal games.
Part of it is because of the streaming service it's on.It should be a crime how much little attention this show gets compared to rubbish like The Last of Us.
Yah, I know people who would have played it and I'd have prob given it a go, despite not really playing much online. The one I'd have def played was last of usout of all the games they canned, they picked a one that has an original idea for Battle royal cars that would have been a huge seller if it was done right.
and a twisted metal too. where they have a TV show AND its one of the pillars that made the PlayStation what it is.
Amazing stuff from Sony management.
That's a given. Trust me, I went in wanting to like it.That is the great thing about entertainment media. Not everything is made for everyone. I really liked the first season much more than I expected I would. Looking forward to season 2.
Like most game to movie or TV show things, the original IP is just a loose scaffold for the story. I watched this on a whim and it was pretty fun. But I have a similar question, If I forgot almost all details of S1, will S2 still be fun?I never saw season 1, will I understand the plot?

From memory everything was tied up, leading straight into season 2, the TM tourny.Like most game to movie or TV show things, the original IP is just a loose scaffold for the story. I watched this on a whim and it was pretty fun. But I have a similar question, If I forgot almost all details of S1, will S2 still be fun?
Sweet Tooth was in season 1
This is four months old, but it is still worth posting. It is David Jaffe's thoughts on the new trailer. David Jaffe one of the creators of Twisted Metal, obviously. It is cool to see people who created the franchise onboard with the TV series. The actor they picked for Calypso is amazingly on point, great casting!
