Twitch ban Asmongolds alt account for racist content from other players using in-game chat (Up: Unbanned, Twitch realise their stupidity)

Fans speculated that the Twitch content creator was banned because some players said the N-word in Diablo Immortal.

The streamer confirmed that his secondary account was banned while he was playing Diablo Immortal on the grounds of hateful and unmoderated conduct in his chat:

"They decided to suspend me for hateful and unmoderated conduct in my chat and I'm not talking about my chat on Twitch, I'm talking about my chat box on Diablo Immortal."

"I had stood up for maybe like five or ten seconds, I was readjusting my blanket here and I had my chat showing and in the process of doing that, there was a person in the chat box who typed the N-word and they did not type it obviously, I have the language filter on so they had to use special ways to get around it so they put dots in between every single letter so it was n dot, i dot, etc, you know how it goes."

"Twitch decided to suspend me because I did not adequetaly address the situation although I spent five minutes afterwards talking about it and going over the reasons why it's stupid and the fact that people that do this are just annoying attention-seeking man-children!"

Can Asmongold stream with his alt banned?

According to Twitch community guidelines, Asmongold would not be able to stream on his main account while his alt is banned from the platform as it would fall under suspension evasion.

Random question but why would he have an alternative account?

They use it for grinding sessions ( boring parts of a game ), just want to stream without cam + voice or talk about random shit in low energy ways that are completely different from there main channel, or play alternative games in between but don't want to annoy there viewer base with shit they don't wanna see.

For example asmongold with FF14 draw huge attention from lots of people, they expect to see more the next day. If he then plays some random game he just wants to play that day, and don't want to talk much or have a face cam on, his channel will die or has to defend himself not being bored of the game but he just wants to play something else that gets picked up by countless of websites to get clicks and he has to constantly defend himself while at it the day after. So they use a alternative channel.

This is why he's online on asmongold its always high energy and always shit people want to see while he streams on it.

Kardashian family has over a billion combined followers, so they must be amazing to follow I guess. Man I'm really missing out too..

Watch and see, maybe you’ll enjoy it. ❤️

I know I enjoy some of the Asmongold content that YouTube recommended to me.

At least I’m not a stupid hater to quickly dismiss something I know nothing about with lazy comment like “who cares”.

I don't watch asmongold either, but what is up with people saying "I'm missing out on shit like this", as in people are idiots and morons for watching this.

So many people feeling entitled in the world, like their opinion are facts.

You aren't missing out on anything, like the billion kardashian followers don't miss out on you playing the last of us 2 or spider man, or whatever you play. Different strokes for different folks.

Ive watched him while I have been off for the past few yrs and while I like his honesty, since his Moms death, he def has changed. He has always been popular but has recently exploded into what I would say is the face of twitch and you can tell he loves it. The problem, because he is not mentally stable and loves to hear himself talk, this would be inevitable. Make no mistake this will not be permanent, maybe a day or two and then he will be back to that cancer of a channel that luckily is dying.

3 Day vacation and PR boost, seems it will do him good either way.

I keep seeing these threads about streamers being banned from youtube / twitch and I'm literally like

If they were neogafers then I might pay some interest. But beyond that I don't understand the running commentary on them. Unless it's a socail media thing where these individuals have large followings, which someone is interpreting as them being important to the wider gaming community?

Does he take subs for the second account though?

Yeah, like XQC, he's probably drugged up to the gills, desperate for attention.

It's a joke, the only reason Asmongold is known apart from WOW is that he talks so much bullshit that he draws in all the trolls and idiots. He's the twitch version of a Youtube drama channel.

This is the culture of censorship, moral panic and radicalism we and our children will be growing up in, nevermind that videogames will be created in, so pay some more attention to it or at the very least stop discouraging others for doing so, please.

Stopped using Twitch a while ago.

Other platforms aren’t much better, but that one is by far the worst. Worst UI, worst ad structure, worst chat box, worst emoji interface, worst moderation, etc.

Twitch sucks. Stop using it.

Late October Surprise
Wish we could get rid of low tier shit like this from the forum as well. It's fine if you don't care but not everything needs to be catered to your needs. Some of you need to learn to shut up every now and then. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
are we still a free forum? if so then I express my disgust on discussions like these daily ... especially in the main forum.

Too. Much. Censorship!
Advertisers should not care what their ads are in front off. People watching porn buy things. people watching cussing streamers also buy things !!! wtf advertisers are so stupid.
