Twitch goes crazy, removes label 'Blind Playthrough' following SJW pressure

I have a hundred dollars that says it was NOT blind people that were offended by this or that it must be removed.
The money is on ablebodied far left white women.

Nobody tell them about my Ocarina of Time playthrough wherein I hold the controller upside down and backwards aka The Retard Run.

I laughed hard at people posting "braille" insults on Aris's stream.
Talking shit in flat braille, lmao. 2020.

This is fucking ridiculous.

I did lol when the Twitch community and creator marketing manager tweeted with the words 'happy to see'

I'm all for accessibility, but this is fucking ridiculous. Stop treating disabled people as tragic imbeciles who can't cope with the real world.

Taken from Eurogamer:

'Twitch removes "blind playthrough" tag following criticism from gamers with disabilities.'

This reddit post sums up the problem with this fully. Twitch are hypocrites, and don't give a fuck about actual disability issues what so ever. Fuck Twitch and fuck SJW bullshit for side lining actual issues that do exist in the disability community for SJW privilege points.

This reminds me of those sad fuckers that wanted scientists to stop calling black holes black holes because it presents blackness in a negative light. Which I thought was funny given that even light can't escape black holes. Lol.

Imagine he decides to ban "walkthrough" videos due to the word "walk" is offensive to wheelchair bound people.

You jest (I think!) but I actually heard of a company banning the term "all hands" because it wasn't inclusive :messenger_tears_of_joy:. Not that there was anyone in the company missing a hand, but you can never be too woke in 2020 corporate America, it seems.

Well that company need to start banning sign language interpreters because the use of hands to communicate to the deaf is offensive to those who lost their arms.

I'm willing to bet SJWs will one day get porn banned from the internet if no one pushes back

Oh it's coming dude....

I'll see myself out with that one....

I'm sick of these SJWs pushing their agendas not just on social media but also using video games as a platform to broadcast their agenda it's absolutely sickening... Give me strength.

The only porn there will be left is a white man either getting slammed in the ass by black(s) or trannies.

Everything else if offensive.

Blind twitch subscribes have an advantage over others during these playthroughs. This is unacceptable, they are unable to see spoilers.

He should mind his fucking business when it comes to societal norms in terms of everyday language.

You sure as fuck have a lot of hate and vitriol towards a wheelchair bound guy who can't even breathe without a hose.

Do I think the change is a bit silly? Sure, personally. Is a single person harmed by changing it from "blind playthrough" to "first play through"? No. Stop getting so enraged about a change that doesn't negatively impact a single human being.

Ironically, he's putting a handicap on our expressive use of language.

His opinion about Soulborne game's difficulty was the tipping point for me.

I'm amazed that for all the kudos he gets for overcoming adversity, he completely misses the point that these games are designed to give players that exact feeling when they beat the boss. The design of the game IS its difficulty, it's fundamental to the feeling Miyazaki has said he wants to create. It's like people just want to run through these games swinging, zero deaths, zero edge of seat suspense. Are hard games, even if it was a design decision, now off-limits for the sake of accessibility? Apparently so, otherwise it's catering to 'hate'!

I get why people are mad, but words and phrases have always changed throughout different time periods. You gotta be pretty soft to get angry at something like this.

People rarely watch twitch these days for games anymore. It's all about tits. Blind people can't even partake in that either.

Not saying "blind playthrough" doesn't make blind people go away nor does it cure them. Doing this Voldemort shit with stuff doesn't fix it or make it go away. This is some kindergarten shit, right here.

The thread seems like an Onion article. It's the sort of thing they wish they came up with, but as usual real life manages to come up with something more ridiculous than they can.

To be honest, when I first heard the term "blind playtrough", I actually thought that people would play the game blindfolded.
That is something people do, GDQ sometimes do blindfolded runs live. It's crazy to know a game that well.

These inclusivity shitheads and gender numbnuts are usually making their living of these issues so its no wonder they see it everywhere. Same with the people shouting about racism everywhere.

Is this the same platform that allows people to be a DEER and eat grass? Is that still a thing?
Talk about barking up the wrong tree, some words have multiple meanings, and that's ok.

I wonder if they censored Deer Hunter from twitch once that moderator was hired. :messenger_grimmacing_ I find it so odd that especially on gaming scene the people in charge are getting weirder and weirder. Or atleast they seem to be the ones that are listened on how things should me moderated.

Twitch has a deer guy doing streamings, how is this a surprise to anyone?!

The level of retardness already was through the roof.

The world is turning into a caricature of what once was considered sci-fi...

But it's important to remember that in the world of this novel, the suppression of books began as self-censorship. People didn't stop reading books because a tyrannical government forced them to stop. They stopped reading books gradually over time as the culture around them grew faster, shallower, intellectually blander, and centered around minor thrills and instant gratification.

Another factor that contributes to the growth of censorship in Fahrenheit 451 are minorities and what we might call "special interest groups." In order not to offend every imaginable group and sub-group—whether organized around ethnicity, religion, profession, geography, or affinity—every trace of controversy slowly vanished from public discourse, and magazines became "a nice blend of vanilla tapioca."
