Some stuff to clarify.
I see you saw the Masked Rider episode. That was indeed a backdoor pilot for another adaptation like VR Troopers, though where that saw a complete name change, they went with a simple translation "Masked Rider". Adapted from the 1988 season Kamen Rider Black RX. The seven year gap is why the stock footage looks so grainy.
Masked Rider was crap, a lot thanks to Ferbus, an Alf stand-in. As you saw Dex was annoying with his awful kiai, imagine 40 episodes of that. They tried to fulfill PR's diversity quota by putting Dex in a family with a white dad, an Asian mom, a white daughter, and a black son (both adopted), it was so weird. There was also the controversial "Masked Rider Warriors" scene where they brought in the previous Riders out of nowhere, and completely fucked their names up.
Masked Rider was a flop. But even if the show was successful, they couldn't make a new one because there hadn't been any new seasons. Hell the show already made use of the movies ZO and J.
Ishonomori hating it as far as I know was just an urban legend. I've seen no concrete proof of this.
Another company, Adness Entertainment, attempted to adapt KR for a stateside audience in 2009. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, an adaptation of 2002's Kamen Rider Ryuki. Another big gap which meant outdated footage, and really crappy CGI.
Despite what some people say, Dragon Knight was baaaaaaaad. It was boring, it padded as hell, with recaps that make One Piece look like a breeze. They tried to hard to be "opposite Power Rangers" by being super serious all the time, it only ended up putting me to sleep. Ironic since the PR season that ran that year was RPM.,
Honestly I think adapting Ryuki was a bad idea since that's a series with a lot of death, it was Highlander style "There can be only one". So they created "venting" where a Rider is sent to an alternate dimension and stays trapped there. Sure it sounds "fate worse than death" but when Marc Dacascos shows up it's made pointless since he can take people out of it. And "venting" itself isn't made clear when the main villain says he'll do it to the (kind of) main protagonist's girlfriend, even though she's not a Rider. I say (kind of) because of this stupid plot with mirror doubles and the main protagonist's mirror double screwed over the mirror world but he still gets away with it.
Dragon Knight was a massive bomb. Apparently Adness Entertainment made the whole thing out of pocket, instead of the traditional thing of shopping the pilot around to different networks. That's a big mistake in TV production since they would never get their money back. Apparently the toys were released after the show finished. Hell the show was doing so bad, the last two episodes didn't even air on TV, they only aired online.
The show was so low budget, that it had THREE clip shows, and one of them was the final episode! That is shit!
Despite this, the show was popular in Japan. Enough to get a sequel novel, though I hear it's not good either.
So far, nobody has tried to adapt Kamen Rider since. Saban did file the trademark for Power Rider in 2011, and no it wasn't Fourze or Wizard. It was more than likely Decade due to rumored plans to adapt the Shinkenger crossover for Samurai. That never happened. The Power Rider trademark lapsed in 2014.
No, there's no adaptation in the works. Amazon will be releasing Kamen Rider Amazons with English subtitles. Not an adaptation, not sure where you heard that.
On another note, in Kakuranger, the Ninja Zords came in the second half of the series. They had the Shogun Zords first. So in Season 3, these are all adaptations of the second half of Kakuranger.
If you're wondering who had what, Red had the Ape, White had the Crane, Blue had the Wolf, Yellow had the Bear, and Black had the Frog. There was no pink ranger this season. The Falconzord was actually sentient, requiring nobody to control him.

One of the running gags was they would say different things during the "Mastodon, Pterodactyl..." sequence. My favorite was "Goushi, Mei, Dan, Boi, Jungle Fury"

By the way the Tengas are an original MMPR thing - they didn't have a Kakuranger counterpart.
I always thought the ninja suit was an attempt to mimic the Kakuranger "ninja suit" mode but didn't fall through, but since they have the suits already they might as well use it.

speaking of which, why do many people think Alien Rangers is a separate season? it's pretty much an MMPRS3 arc
and to this day I still don't know why the cast became unavailable - I know in S2 they were filming in Australia for the movie hence the suit only and ADR, but what was the reason for the Alien Rangers and turn to kids? they asked for vacation?
