It's exactly because of the movie therefore the alien rangers, not to mention...
1) It's cheaper to pay for kid actors.
2) They can use Kakuranger sentai footage besides the zords.
3) Therefore with 1 and 2 they can save some money.
I still have that toy in the attic at my dads place. That was a big ass toy (army men vs serpentera = good shit growing up)

Season 1 cast deserved episodes like these. Instead they only got half episodes with all of the monster stuff having almost nothing to do with the school scenes.
