I have an honest, non-troll question... To those of you that kept watching past childhood, what keeps you watching? I watched the first 2 seasons as a kid but stopped after that. Rewatching these on Twitch made me realize how dated and thrown together these episodes are. Does the show get better later? What is it that keeps people unironically watching as adults? Nostalgia? Always wanted to know.
I've never seen any after the original series and have little interest when I was young. I've enjoyed seeing the original series enough that I want to keep going.

Here we go again

I basically grew up with it. Does it get better? Sometimes yes and sometimes no.

the show starts to get better around season 2 of turbo when they drop most of the old cast. then we get one of the best in in space, and they learn from that and start to circulate the teams

i watched until mystic force, and i didnt finished

but in space ending was so good that i have to keep watching. i dont know, if you look them as indivudal episodes they are obviously not that good, but as a bigger narrative, considering all the episodes on each season and that, they are quite good, idk. its power rangers

I grew up with it and still find enjoyment here and there. Yeah it's cheesy but I dunno thats the charm of it to me.

I'm having a blast watching these on Twitch too. I was more curious about adult fans who actively watched the show as it airs on TV, not Twitch.

With any luck Zeo should be kicking in right about the time I get off of work.

A shame it's not Friday so I could stay up all night watching.

I honestly just enjoyed the show, I kept watching up until Power Rangers SPD, which was when I was about 11/12 & started to feel like Power Rangers was too "kiddy" for me. I came back a year later & watched one more season, Power Rangers Mystic Force, and then washed my hands of the series completely.

I haven't watched any of the new "Neo-Saban" seasons & mostly just find the show too cheesy now. However, I DID starting watching some of the original Japanese tokusatsu shows. One show that's really grabbed me in particular is GARO:

I like it because it's a bit more mature in its themes, violence & overall story than the usual Power Rangers/Super Sentai & I enjoy the action scenes.

The series after Turbo are legit good. Good action choreography and better story, some of them get genuinely emotional.

They're still kids entertainment but they are enjoyable.

Sentai is where the good shit be.

Sometimes there are great seasons with good characters and story, or at least is fun without being ridiculous.

Time Force and RPM are " serious"
Ninja Storm is fun
