It's hard to imagine something better in-game than a G1 Psychic type. Confusion is supereffective against 41 Pokemon in G1, and there are a TON of Poison and Fighting Pokemon in-game: Channelers in Pokemon tower, the Fighting Dojo, Team Rocket, Koga, Bruno, and Agatha are all mostly weak to Psychic.

Confusion is supereffective against 41 Pokemon in G1, and there are a TON of Poison and Fighting Pokemon in-game: Channelers in Pokemon tower, the Fighting Dojo, Team Rocket, Koga, Bruno, and Agatha are all mostly weak to Psychic.

Seriously. Chat just needs to get Drowzee into the lead position and level him up and then he can just sweep the rest of the game. Pidgeotto may be overleved right now, but having so many duds on the Move Roulette like Whirlwind makes that pokemon more of a hindrance than a help at times.
