Did take a peak at the stream today and noticed there was 'only' 22,000 viewers. Seems many others feel the same way. With that said, any funny things happened in this run yet???

Just Fly shenanigans like 10 minutes ago. Accidentally flew home to New Bark Town, then as we resolved to get Joey's number or the EXP Share or something we accidentally flew back to Lake of Rage. But other than that, not really.

Most people don't do those sorts of things unless
A) They're going to vgc
and
B) They've decided on a team
If you've made a team you have to edit, it could take a long time. Now I will say with certain pokemon in certain areaS+your pokemon you're EV training holding specific items, you can get EV training done in around 30 minutes. Breeding can get ridiculous
But for people who working on a team or not planning on vgc, Pokemon Showdown allows you to quickly put in your desired moves, evs, pokemon, etc.
EDIT: I feel like the lore is really starting to come together now. Whole band of misfits idea is cool+Feraligatr=Dark Knight
One thing that would've been awesome is if we put the female hoothoot in the daycare and it and Brian managed to have a kid

Incredible.
Exactly what I hoped someone would eventually make, a nice chronicle of the entire TPP Pokemon Red run. Definitely going to read through the entire thing when I have the time.

Yeah, all those saying Crystal will get interesting are being proven right. Good lore has begun to be produced, and at the same time Red's was really started too (4th day was when the first exodus/Jay Len and Abby being released happen)

Haha really loving the fanart/lore for all this. Having Lazrgatr as a hunted, hated hero is so perfect. And I just crack up every time I see Pidgeot as Brian. It just fits so well.

I've said this already, but the fact that the lore is starting to really progress and come into its own, at 4 days, same time Red released Abby and Jay Leno and its lore began to grow, is just so awesome and makes me happy for the future of the stream

And yea, it's pretty cool to see good lore finally forming. But right now only Eevee, Brian, and Gator are recognized, hopefully some other teammates will get their time to shine soon.

It's good to see lore finally solidifying. I haven't watched for the past few days due to midterms but now I'm much more interested with some lore having built up.
And I feel it's a really good way to hook the "old" crowd that loved the lore of Gen 1 but with a twist that makes you sympathetic to Lazergatr whose hand was forced.

Well, we have a Pidgeot with a decent move set and decent levels, so we got that going for us. Other than that, Gator still wrecks everything it touches.

Well, on the one hand Gen II is a lot easier level-wise. And we've so far kept our starter the entire time so he's spent the whole game leveling up, vs. the Red stream where we lost our starter after a few days and Bird Jesus still had a growing period. Also, we spent like 5 hours going to Mr. Pokemon and back to town, so we only had Totodile and no one else so that was 5 hours of pure unadulterated grinding. The lower levels/easier difficulty combined with an overleveled starter basically have made this a cakewalk so far. I expect, as long as we don't release him any time soon, this stream will be over quite a bit faster than Red was.
Pokemon trainers and gyms are weaker generally and we don't have any glaring weaknesses such as terrible move sets against Ghost type etc. Using surf, cut, strength is trivial once its been learned.
Gen 1 was really one set back followed by another. Cutting bushes were a battle in itself. We used more untimely dig's than I care to remember and we spent a lot of times trying navigate ledges. And then the introduction of democracy didn't happen until a day of trying to get through the Rocket Hideout Maze, which was on day 6 or something.

Now it's all finally clear.
Or you acknowledge it was lightning in a bottle and move on. I hate how advertising has turned gaming channels into subscriber trawlers and fluff content.
This game is less of a struggle and there's less drama.
Naturally this has led to a sharp decline in popularity.
Wow, yeah already at 7 badges in less then a week? Is this because of the new anarchy/democracy system or just the way crystal is designed that its easier ie no ledges of doom etc

The new system. There has been at least one part (the ghost gym) that was far, far worse than anything in Red, but was solved in a fraction of the time of the ledge difficulties because democracy kicks in to solve any problems each hour.

Well Morty's gym still took hours to finally beat after losing to him once and then derping around with democracy failing to pass the elite floor on the next few tries...
Another hard spot was Pryce's gym which we beat in 6 hours as people were reluctant to do it in democracy mode.
And it's not only the new system that speeds up things. Trainer levels are very low and there are not that many things to do between the gyms. And cutting down trees and surfin is a lot easier in 2nd gen. There is still ofc the whole Kanto region left.
I'm loving that new comic that pretty much sums up the main parts of lore so far.
He is the hero this game deserves but not the one it needs right now.
