Two complete different games: Kameo or Condemned?

Hahaha, now I know these games are completely different, but I need to make a choice by Monday when I get paid.


Both look like really sweet games.

Could I get comparisons on the length and replay value of each and which one is worth that sum of 60 dollars more than the other?

Also, which game shows off the 360's capabilities more? This isn't going to affect my choice, I'm just curious.

I already have COD2, PDZ, and PGR3, and I think PGR3 shows it off the most.

You really just need to ask yourself: which game is going to let me beat a bum to death with a lead pipe? Then it becomes pretty much academic.
 
I'm an FPS junkie, and I'm looking forward to playing Condemned... But I'd have to say Kameo seems like it's more fun, and has more replay value.
 
Kameo is the biggest surprise for me at launch. I honestly thought I would not be into its art syle, but I love it. I love it so much, that Condemned is still sealed and will stay that way until I beat Kameo.

Thus Far, my launch games are ranked as follows:

1. Kameo
2. COD2
3. PGR3
4. Madden
5. Tiger
6. PDZ
 
I've got both. Condemned all the way.

It's one of the scariest games you'll ever play. The atmosphere and graphics are great and the combat is really well done. I've never played a first-person game with better melee combat. The animations are cool too, especially when you zap a hobo with the super taser that you get later in the game.

It has a pretty good amount of replay value in it. There are a lot of achievements you can earn in the game and you'll want to replay it to get them all. One thing that's nice is that you can go back to any of the levels that you've beaten. This makes getting all of the achievements easier/less frustrating.

For instance, lets say you are trying to unlock the "only used melee weapons" achievement and you used a gun on the 2nd and 5th levels the first time through. Well, all you have to do is replay just those chapters without using any guns and you'll unlock it.

Want to see the slightly different ending? Just replay the last chapter instead of the entire game.

Stuff like that makes replaying the game much less of a chore compared to other games.
 
I have played both nearly to the end, and I would say go for Kameo.

It's completely different from every Xbox 360 game, looks beautiful, and has much more replay value then Condemned. There's co-op play, alternate skins, leaderboards, and a lot of unlockables. Kameo is also ten dollars cheaper too ($50, not $60).

I like Condemned too, but it's shorter, has less replay value, and is more expensive. I'd wait for a price drop on that game, or maybe rent it.
 
Go with Condemned. At the very least, you don't have to wrestle with crappy controls, and I think Condemned is superior technically.

Btw I own Kameo and have completed Condemned.
 
Condemned looked fantastic on the 1up show. I'd go with that over Kameo if I had the choice.

I hated Kameo when I first saw it. Now I've beaten the game and am enjoying getting my ratings up and unlocking all the extras. A very enjoyable game that I'd probably rate an 8. Fuckers need to stick a camera-centre button in a patch though. There was one particular moment in the game where it was very very needed.

I played Condemned for 20 minutes and it scared the fucking shit out of me. I'll never play it again, because I'm a pussy, but it seemed like it could be a great game.

How hard is it to get an A ranking in those score attacks? I'm not a huge fan of those battle stages in Kameo but I do want those 50 points of achievement each :lol

I prefer ripping the blades off the papercutters in the offices and using them against the bums. So satisfying. :)
 
I completed Kameo the other night and really liked it. Gorgeous game to showcase the system and quite fun to play. Kameo took me 12-13 hours to complete.

I started Condemned and also looks to be a great game. Really hard decision to make.
 
I'm going to throw in a vote for Condemned, if only to put it above Kameo. I haven't gotten a chance to play Condemned but it looks much, much more interesting than Kameo ever did. I can't vouch for Condemned's gameplay but I have made my feelings toward that aspect of Kameo very clear on these forums. The demo did not sit well with me; there were many things wrong with it.
 
I dont plan on buying Condemned and havent played it, but i'll vouch for Kameo being a quality game. The first several hours of gameplay are a mixed bag but it continues to get better and better as it goes.
 
Are you going to be playing alone at night with surround sound? Then go for Kameo, becuase my buddie and I just played Condemned for like 3 hours straight and I almost wet myself.

Expect a few more 'wow' moments during the last sections of the game. The ending cinematic is gorgeous.
 
look at all the games you own and ask yourself, "out of all the ones there which genre do I enjoy the most?"
