Yeah. Some guy who I never even saw before in the forum replied to a thread of mine and said something to the effect of "I don't know what the original poster said since I have him on ignore, but..."

Fuck that noise, even the people around here who seriously grate on me don't get put on my ignore list. No one does, actually. It's petty.

I was inches from putting Hammy on ignore a couple weeks ago, but didn't.

I agree though, the ignore function is stupid.

I don't "hate" anyone here. I find a few posters to be mildly annoying, but hate requires too much effort for the internet....most of the time.

There were several answers in the finale, maybe not to the questions that you wanted answered, but there were. The plot was moved along, things were set up for a second season, and characters were developed. It's not going to completely wrap everything from the first season up, the story is ongoing.

And you mods/admins are watching over this thread like a hawk, too. That's a really shitty thing to do and totally defeats the purpose of this thread, which should be about honesty, should it not?

Here's the truth: I like GAF. I get a lot of entertainment value out of it, and the variety of subject matter discussed is amazing. But a lot of moderating energy is being put in the wrong place. This board doesn't have a spam problem (that I can see), it isn't overrun with joke characters, and the few OAers who have survived the recent spate of bannings have become, IMO, totally manageable. For the most part, we have cooled down and we are willing to play along. But the itchy trigger fingers continue. I can explain why the bannings happen, based on the rules I know, but I couldn't explain the rules. Bannable catch-phrases? Denigration of pro wrestling? An anti-porn policy drawn down a razor-thin line for no apparent reason? I'm not even going to ask what I was banned for, because I still don't have a clue. It seems that new rules are made on the fly, like in this thread. Who thinks this is rational? If this board was half its size, this kind of moderation would be running it into the ground.

And there are things that people get away with that I can't believe. I have received death threats ON this board, both direct and indirect, and everyone has collectively turned a blind eye. I haven't had any legal advising, but I'd be willing to bet this is against the law, both from the committing side and from the moderating side (because they have a chance to prevent it, but don't).

I'm done ranting.. burned myself out.

This is going to be unpopular but I detest Loki. I think he's full of shit and a self-righteous prick. Additionally, his posting style is incredibly irritating. In my opinion, the purpose of his verboseness is to discourage people from making any sort of reply. Honestly, does it take five fucking paragraphs to explain why his opinion is better than everyone elses?

The only mods that don't piss me the fuck off are bishoptl, Blacklace, Hitokage and EviLore. I don't know the names of all the mods so unless I've talked to you directly or something, you don't count. I don't want to name names, though.

Just becuase I feel this warrants a serious response: We're not omniscient, we can't read every thread and every message. While people are discouraged from playing moderator, if there's something that's clearly in the wrong (such as, say, death threats) let us know.

I hate Mike_Works and I am glad his little game of Sim City with the forum is over. I want him to die. I want him to not be able to wake up. I honestly don't even know what has brought about such hatred of one screen name on IRC and on the forum, but everytime I think, "Damn, I wouldn't even submit my worst enemy to that" for any kind of cruel and unusual punishment, I also think "But I would put Mike Orlando through that." I haven't seen hide, hair, nor post of him since I've had him on ignore for so long, to the point that, like I mentioned above, I forget why I hate him, but damn if I were forced to choose one person on God's green Earth to die, it wouldn't be Osama, Saddam, or anyone like that. It'd be Mike Orlando. Oh well, just know that right now I am ten times the man you will ever be. Fuck, as a toddler I was ten times the man you'll ever be. Then again, 10 x 0 = 0 anyway.

I hate sporsk. I know he's a good guy deep down, but is there any reason to troll every Microsoft thread? By that same token I hate all Nintendo fans. Santacruzer, Gaimeguy, M3wthr33, jarrod, Dr Guru, et al. It's embarrassing to all gamers the lengths you guys go to to defend Nintendo. No other group of fanboys is as bad. If I could ban sporsk, I would. Along with Drinky. That kind of shit is unnecessary. Then again, at least when drinky does it he keeps it to his own self contained topic, Sporsk is all over the place.

I hate DMczaf. Not because he has always beaten me in NFL games, but because his post are completely devoid of original thought or content. Almost all of his posts are a picture followed by a one liner. Or a one liner. Or just the picture. Dude just don't post anything.
