I have no idea why you would think they are or are not gay from that quote. Is a heterosexual couple not attracted to different types of people? So YOU THE PLAYER can experience a multitude of relationships, but that doesn't mean that either character is going to be gay.

It's more likely that a website really wants them being gay to be the case wrote that and that people who really want to be upset over a game reacted to it. Like always.

We are going to be playing as a male character and a female character, combined we will experience different types of relationships. The way the person is quoted it doesn't mean that they are going to have gay relationships it could just be you see different types of relationships through both characters. Not only that but you could have gay relationships in AC Valhalla, it's not forced you just pick the person you flirt with and see where it goes.

Okay, am I the only one who read this as saying that each of them is attracted to a different type of person as in Yasuke the male is attracted to women while Naoe the female is attracted to men? Though if that were the case, why would they need to announce it, that's just the natural expectation. Then again, this world has turned completely fucking crazy, so maybe it makes sense that normal heterosexual relationships would be considered surprising in a modern Western game.
