Assassin's Creed Shadows - Dual Paths: Naoe & Yasuke Walkthrough Video

"Change your headgear to [random item] for a PLUS TWO assassination UI bar!" so now you magically can one shot him thanks to this hat you're wearing

"This is a tough enemy so you can't assassinate them immediately" in the game called assassin's creed
How is this a bad thing ?!, having cool perks on gear makes loot interesting outside of +4 defense and +5 attack, i guess they will have alot more variety of perks like that.
It's an RPG since Origins.

Yeah I think it has been long enough since Valhalla that I will have to play this. Just need to figure out where it fits on my gaming calendar. Maybe right after Split Fiction.

Looks good but fucking hell, that commentary isn't contributing anything to it, other than adding a annoyance factor to the video.

The way Rockstar does it, do that Ubisoft. As in, no cringe comments.

I have a friend that is playing it already for reviewing purposes. If he tells me details I will post them here

Im gonna buy it day 1 no matter what. I like the new AC games and valhalla was my last one like 5 years ago and shadows looks really good imo

I was riding the ACS hate train ever since it got announced but I'm coming around. I'll probably buy it and that's something I certainly wouldn't have considered six months ago. I still don't like Yasuke, but playing as Naoe looks like good fun and the game looks polished and very pretty. I'm also a sucker for the historical settings in AC games, I've played most of them and really enjoyed AC:Origins and AC:Oddyssey. (AC:Valhalla was a slog though)

Many people here did, never understood why as the new footage looks very similar to what we've already seen about the game for months. I'm glad that common sense is prevailing in the end.

This has been a thing since almost 10 years ago in AC: Origins. If you're looking for more of the older AC games format of one hit kill assassinations regardless of gear or level, I hear the most recent release, AC: Mirage, offers exactly that.

Valhalla already has the option for immediate kills, shadows has the same options.

I know i'm playing an action RPG so this stuff doesn't bother me, i never liked old ac games other than ac1 (for the novelty) where combat was uber simple and braindead (but better animated).

I am a nobody. No one knows who this friend of mine is
I can see your real life pic in your avatar and from the way you speak you are spanish, mexican or just like a dirty sanchez with your lady from time to time.

It's enough to track you down.

Why? The fake outrage would have overshadowed the launch but now most of them just look stupid
Still poisoned the well. There are people who won't touch it now because they've been convinced the game is trash. A shorter announcement to release window with finalized gameplay shown would have been the better play here.

Got this for free with a cpu purchase. I thought it looked decent despite the controversy. Never was a fan of AC games and I doubt this one will change my mind but I'll try it for a few hours.

The game looks fine - looks good even in terms of gameplay. My only concern is that this really doesn't seem like "Assassin's Creed". Now - to qualify this I've only played up to AC III and Odyssey/Origins. I don't understand why the games took this direction, I feel like they just want to make some other IP, but keep using the old brand name.

Looks pretty great to me.
looks at social media
I mean how could they?!?!?! They messed up history I'm not even aware of!!! I can't buy this if I can't learn real history!!!

Suit yourself.

I'm playing with the BBC as much as possible.

Many of us have reached the acceptance stage, but there are still lots of people stuck in the anger stage who can't move on.

BTW The denial stage is better known as the Nonbuynary stage among gamers.

I convinced myself to preorder this for the key prices I was seeing but then I realized it was the Ubisoft Connect version . . .
why is there no steam key deals yet?

For the game to be finished in 30 hrs and for you to B-line the story, it must not rely on lvl of enemies, as well as your level, level and quality of your gear. I've tried to B-line the story in Origins cuz it was so effin' boring after ~30 hrs (especially in terms of side quests) but it's just not possible. I highly doubt that you can finish AC Shadows in just 30 hrs but we'll see. I bet that the game will be a lot more interesting than absolutely anything in boring af Ghost of Tsushima.

Honestly excited for this. If it's on the level of Origins which was top 5 in the series IMO, we're really in for something special

Just cant get past the cringe dialogue and the entire feel of the game. Icky is the best word id describe it as. Gameplay itself is functional, but definitely looks lacking.

Im already drowning in games cant be bothered this one. Curious how well, or how bad, this game will do in sales...

Fuck gearscores.
If it's like the previous games, you can enable a setting to instant assassinate. This is a non-issue.

Either it's super curated, or they did manage to fix all animation connecting issues in combat. Looks great and an example why delays are always good news. I've seen it played live last summer at Gamescom and it was a hot mess, while it was scheduled for November. Both characters seem very distinct and a proper evolution of what they did in Syndicate.

I don't remember when the last time I was in on day one for something from Ubisoft was, and I've already bought the game.

Curious. What is an example of cringe dialogue here. The commentary is beyond saving sure but what line specifically is cringe.

I like this sizzle reel at the end of this gameplay video. The one with the music at 12:17
(timestamped) and that was 8 months ago... so why were people hating on this?

And yasuke combat section is also cool. quite brutal for ac game

I'd like AC to dump the RPG elements. Seeing her overlook that area and the one enemy having a level #, health bar and armor bar sucks. The new open world Ubi RPG they've been calling AC for the past few years would be a potentially fine new IP, it's just not a proper AC.

Is it me or everything looks non-challenging? the stealth is too easy, the AI doesnt even see you, I hope they are playing on easy mode cause the npcs dont stand a change with all those crazy skills and weapons.

When was AC ever challenging?
