Ubisoft 'bulked out' Assassin’s Creed games to delay people reselling

It started in AC2. Remember codex pages, feathers and chests? Ignored all of that shit.
Yeah, i never understand when people act like AC went bonkers with Origins or Valhalla or whatever when the basic problem already was the same in the entire Ezio era. AC should have evolved into something Hitman always was. Make the Assassinations interesting (proper scouting, some planning dialogue/minigame or something) and the Animus/Creed story would have been a cherry on top. Open world never enhances any game when it is just pompous collectathons, with sidequests being almost the same as these idiotic fetch 50, 100 whatevers, drwoning the main plot.

I guess engagement numbers went up for a few releases, and they doubled and tripled down on it, until people got tired of the crap. No one actually wants to play filler content even if it kept them playing more and more hours before. It's insane that devs and publishers look at some metrics and don't get at all that that is only a crutch solution and actually detrimental to long term success.

Is there any drama related to that I do not know about?

IDK if you remember, but they already removed some parts of the trailer inside the game.

That scene where the main character get out of the bed with a bunch of naked woman, the trailer on youtube still have this scene, but there was patch that remove that scene in the game.

You can check for yourself if you want. The trailer on Youtube still have, in the Ubisoft channel.

Ubisoft canceled a Rayman game in 2021, so we would have had a game similar to Rayman Legends by now... But it would have been a remake of the first game.

I mean, Origins was awesome. Story too was great, Bayek was the best protagonist since Ezio. It deals with the loss of his child and I think it's very well done. The game feels sincere, despite whatever ambition Ubisoft had for it.

The ancient Egypt setting was awesome and it had some very trippy moments. I liked the implementation of rpg mechanics and loot in that game. It was nothing really crazy but the different weapon types made combat more interesting. I hated the 2 that came after though and never completed them.

The naval battle shit I never liked in any AC game, yes even Black Flag. To me that is like the forced padding
