The funny thing is, if Mark Hunt wins one more time, he'd probably be back in the Top 10 again, and it'd be entirely from UFC wins.
Maybe they can feed Bendo Kid Rock again so he can actually get another finish.
Maybe some shitty banned poster can get unbanned again, so you can clown on him and actually make another funny post.(been a long time.)
The reason why the fight is remotely controversial is because point fighting in the UFC has become so pervasive that if you score fights from that perspective Frankie probably did win. If you don't follow the sport all that closely you probably won't know what I mean.
Fights should be scored by damage and violence, but that doesn't always secure you the decision.
But some guys just don't bruise or cut. This is very true, and why compu-strike numbers are deceiving. You can just look at the fighters usually and see who did more damage, damage is what fights should be won and lost on, being that is the entire point of a fight. Who gives the most damage. Not who puts a guy on the ground most or who touchs a guy with his fist more.
But then again judging damage is hard. Some guys have a stronger chin and can take more, and some guys don't cut or show signs of damage.

Also Frankie can say whatever he wants, but size is the reason he lost tonight. He needs to accept 145 already.
Bloody Elbow said:Akiyama is now a guy who lost a mostly stand-up fight to Jake Shields and got submitted on the floor by Chris Leben. That's just mindblowing.
Aww...kind of drunk last night.not sure if troll or if you just didnt read my last line
so, no rampage retirement talk? surprised there was no post fight interview - did he just bail out immediately?

Stomach is a puree mix of acidic ooze and pain.
Other than that I agree with the decisions and surprised to see Rampage didn't retire.
The word damage is not in the judging criteria at all.damage is what fights should be won and lost on, being that is the entire point of a fight. Who gives the most damage. Not who puts a guy on the ground most or who touchs a guy with his fist more.

Great card except for a few disappointments, but I had no expectations for Shields/Sexy or Page. So the few judo throws were cool and Page got one great slam in that would have paralyzed or killed an untrained person. That was more than I'd expected for those fights. The rest was great.
I apparently had 0 pts after losing 5 of 6 boosts, but I got my 1st rd Hunt KO, which was the one emotional pick that was likely to happen.
Oh god. While watching it my friend and I were discussing who might be winning and at the end of the 4th neither of us had any idea. Obviously Bendo was winning the Fight but who was winning on points? The decision matched what anyone unfamiliar with the point system would have picked as the winner.Only disappointment is it looks like it will be another bitch fest about a main event favorite crying about not winning a decision despite losing the significant striking category again.
It's at the point now that you just shut up and accept that the margin of error is so slim that these fights are impossible to call more than 50.000001% vs. 49.999999% for the winner, and if you lose, accept it like a man and adjust in the future.
I'm already excited about Bendo Pettis 2. Hioki should be up next for Aldo and I will be excited for that. Hunt can do whatever he wants.
WTF happens to Yushin and Boetsch now? That was so crazy. Great comeback but makes future match ups kinda screwy. Yushin vs Leben or Nick Ring? Who does Boetsch fight next?
so, no rampage retirement talk? surprised there was no post fight interview - did he just bail out immediately?

that Mizugaki boost fucked me. 260 point swing. You should rank all of the events thus far.
UFC stop protecting your champion and let Boetsch take that belt!
