No dodge, no idiocy, when Vegas fell through he was told Dubai or Abu Dhabi. When he got to Abu Dhabi the gov there started their quarantine & he wasn't even let out of the airport & just flew back to Dagestan.

It would've been too late at this time as he's halfway through Ramadan. I don't think he'll realistically fight till August, although he said he can be ready for a July return.

woke up and checked the headlines, I don't see anything about cancellation.

I suppose the real nightmare is if someone at the hotel or a non-fighter employee gets sick from exposure to Jacare or his cornermen. A higher up from Disney is the one who called Dana to squash the last event, if a "civilian" gets caught in the crossfire of this I can't imagine ESPN/Disney are going to be involved with the event.

If no one else gets sick and everything else goes perfectly this will be shown as "the system works, we caught it and contained it." Everything else will continue as planned.

But, on the flip side, if bystanders get sick that's gonna make serious headlines and if it gets bad enough this could potentially cause a ripple effect across all sports, forcing MLB and NBA to can their plans and have to just just shut down for 2020. Plenty of good young fighters in boxing right now. A lot of people claim to be boxing fans but don't truly follow the sport. You can usually tell them when they cant have a conversation with you about boxing without mentioning Alvarez, Pac, or Mayweather or wax poetic about fighters from yesteryear like Mike Tyson.

You can usually tell them when they cant have a conversation with you about boxing without mentioning Alvarez, Pac, or Mayweather or wax poetic about fighters from yesteryear like Mike Tyson.

Sure there's plenty of good fighters, but next to nobody left who can draw, and a terrible stigma in boxing that losing once or twice destroys your career. So you get a lot of good talent perpetually fighting bums, and only clashing with other good talent when it's for a big payday. That and undercard pay is shit. Boxing was my first love as a sport, and it sucks to see it as it exists today. I much prefer MMA as it currently exists, as flawed as it is.
