I'd make the argument that any of the top 5 of that division could easily be champ, well, all top 5 of the Lightweight divisions have been champ at some point. But that weight class is so top heavy with talent that any given day, any of them could easily be champ. MMA math just doesn't work for that class.

Gaethje has crazy stamina considering how hard and vicious he throws. He really put it on Tony, I thought that Gaethje was gonna be a harder fight for Tony than Khabib to be honest and I was right. Connor has a left hand shot and about 2 rounds worth of good stamina. Connor would get smoked by any of the top 5 of the division. It's why he hasn't fought any of the top 5. He want's a title shot and a hope that his staggering left is enough to get the job done. Connor now isn't the same hungry Connor we saw all those years ago.

You HAVE To watch Whittaker vs. Romero 1 + 2. Some of the best fights of that division. Watching Whitaker trying to chop down Romero was something else. He also tore up Darren Till pretty good. He was the champ too until he lost that fire and Adesanya took it from him.
Even if i hate conor, i think he will smoke dustin pretty easy.

I mean... Conor has already beaten Dustin before, but that was a long time ago and Dustin is a much different fighter and a much better fighter than he was then. I think it'd play out a lot differently. But you are right, Conor has such a flashing left straight. But I think Dustin's chin is stronger than you give him credit for. He had an absolute slobberknocker of a fight with Gaethje and Gaethje has a lot of power too. I think Gaethje, Poirier and Ferguson would all beat Conor, especially at 155. 170 I could see him having a better chance as he doesn't have to cut nearly as much and has a lot more power. But 155? Conor couldn't touch the top 5 of that division.
Well Dana said they have a tentative fight schedule in January but the UFC wants to do it at 155 and Conor wants to fight at 170. I'm under the impression that Conor can either fight at 155 or the fight won't happen. Here's hoping.

I really hope that he does box Pacquiao or Floyd again so I can bet against him and make some money.
I'd do straight bets against my friends and family that for some reason think Conor is still top of his game. If there's one thing we can give McGregor credit for is the cult of personality he's built around himself.
