The actual model has a wide jaw, but she has thin cheeks, which makes her look like a woman. Joanna Dark looks exactly like what you'd expect from a western developer these days, they've managed to make her look worse, with a wider face, and she 100% looks manly.

Never liked this design. Says a lot that they made him to appeal to the west vs the Brother. Crazy how Auron from FFX and Jecht were these great, mature man designs. But then we get this.
Outside of deliberately revolting, so many ugly characters across all gens. This gen seems to be even worse, or perhaps it's recency bias.

Major Carenz Sarkaana from Space Marine 2 is very ugly. The first game had 2nd Lieutenant Miranda Nero and she was maybe a little too pretty for her role, but I'll take that over ugly. Sarkaana isn't in much of the game at least. I don't think they could have brought Nero back though since she would have been dead from old age by now. Who are we kidding? She would be dead from a number of other things before that.

It would be nice if a western developer could make their characters look like the women they modeled them after. For some reason the only one that ever looks like the RL person is Deborah Wilson, everyone else they fuck up, most likely on purpose.

Haha, nice try. Does that look like Eve to you? Yes they used a model, modern games almost always use mocap but don't always use likeness. If that model looks to you like Eve, you're just looking at her boobs. Which just proves my point. I guess that's how you differentiate women. Either that, or all Asians look the same to you, take your pick.
