What's even worse is they gave her fan service... explicit fan service. Like you can put her in a thong... topless. This shit has etched itself into my brain, will never forget that emote with the floppy tits or her twerking.......

That game would've sold way more with a hotter/younger woman. Her ugliness is why I didn't buy it. I did play the game on PS+ Extra and it's a good game so it's really a shame. She looks like Bill Maher on the cover, nobody who is casually looking at games at a store is gonna want to buy it.
 
I can tell you that I literally skipped Rage 2 because of the cover with the ugly woman on it. Its just so unappealing. Whoever thought this was a good idea to put out as the face of your game should have been fired. What part of that is supposed to make me want to play it? Makes the game look like Apocolyptic Democrat simulator 2035 starring stupid hair color half head-shaved screeching white Liberal woman.

True, I haven't played it yet for that reason.
She's not even particularly ugly, she just looks like someone I wouldn't want to hang out with in real life; she just looks like an unappealing Karen.

Apart from the fact that the guy looks like the German TV presenter Günther Jauch, all the characters in Oblivion look completely uninvolved, empty and pale, as if from a fantasy world in which there are no emotions.

Τhis particular character stands out to me compared to others.

Leftist propaganda dictates women should look like your average old Karen at best, because representation, male gaze, characters need to look like normal people and other shit like that. So they did follow those guidelines.

But at the same time they also wanted her to stand out and look "cool" somehow. So they did this shit with her eyes. I mean, if they wanted her to look cool and not like your average person, why didn't they just make her look cool in the first place?

Not sure if she was a dei character, she needed to look normal, the story was kinda sad in tone and it would not have worked if she looked super sexy imo, she wasn't even lesbian, she get married with a man.

They gave her a nice ass, that's already an hint, dei characters never have discernible female features

For the life of me, i can't remember the title of a failed battle/multiplyer game on PS4 that had some of the worst looking characters. I think it was with cars and had the word "battle" or "all-stars" in it but i can't find it on Google.

They didn't have to make her look sexy. Just not as average looking or ugly.

Also, what's the point of the different colored eyes if not to make her look cool/stand out, when the rest of the character is made to not stand out? Is it some lore thing i'm not aware of?

The game is full of obscure lore things so, maybe?!

Real life astronauts usually look average-ugly, i think they made her this way to be more credible and in tone with the sad story.

I probably trolled her after the reveal but after playing the game i had zero problem with her tbh, in a sea of ugly protagonists to criticize, selene is one of the tamest.

I probably wouldn't have an issue with her as well, but it's the eyes attempt that bother me.
