I think the ugliest ones are where the developers have gone out of their way to uglify the actor who played the character. Or at least that makes it a lot more noticeable. So the woman from Star Wars Outlaws or Horizon.

I wouldn't be surprised if whoever did mocap for the Fable reboot is actually attractive in real life too.

She's an astronaut/scientist. IMO Selene is a grounded character. Her being sexy would be immersion-breaking. She can't be Samus Arun.

The Concord roster, on the other hand, is set in a space opera and they have no business being so fucking ugly. However, my winner is Mary Jane from Spiderman 2. The uglyfication of the original character is criminal, in looks and personality. It's impossible to make it worse.

This character wins the ugly award for me.

I tried watching a playthough of this game on YT but I didn't even make it to 1 hour before quitting thanks to this character and how Ugly and Repulsive she is to look at to me this chararter is the poster boy of everything wrong with western DEVs uglifying there characters just to meet a agenda.

I agree. Ugly characters are whatever, but when a developer specifically designs their characters around a real person and they end up significantly uglier, it stands out so much more. How do you go from this to what the Outlaws developers did?

Physically, he's in absolutely unbelievable shape, pretty much top tier conditioning and muscularity. For that reason alone, even as a baldy, he can't be considered even remotely ugly. I'd wager most women would consider him the most handsome of the three....but probably only with his shirt off lol.
 
Taash evokes feelings of repulsion and grossness from me. The character looks diseased.
Not even Japanese horror or characters meant to be ugly, off-putting, creepy, disgusting achieve this level. From games for example have interesting art/character design.

It's a shame, really. The game is great and it would have hit so much harder with a normal protag.

I guess they were aiming Returnal squarely at the Karen/mom crowd. I guess they didn't realize those people don't play videogames and if they do they sure as fuck aren't a PS5 exclusive roguelite. What is with the obsession of the industry to make young men play as every kind of human being under the sun? I just wish they would stop trying to brainwash us into identifying with people who aren't us and instead do what is best for the game.

The MC for returnal could have been that chick from monster hunter. Imagine how the game would have taken off if that had happened.
 
Literally everyone in Outer Worlds. I can't finish the game, it's like they intentionally went out of their way to make them unappealing on every level
 
Intentionally ugly characters aside, probably the average human NPC in Oblivion. Even the comparatively normal ones still looked deformed. The bad ones looked like the human equivalent of a pug.
