Like I said before, why aren't people taking the parents to task? If MJ's really the big bad bogeyman when it comes to 9 year old boys, WTF would you send him over to his fucking palace to do Christ knows what for a four week stretch? The parents are the ones that are fucked up here.

I'm still not convinced he's a pedophile myself...but if I had a kid, why the fuck would I take a chance and send him over to the Neverland ranch? It doesn't make a bit of sense, except if I was in the mood to extort his ass.

Fuck you. I merely noted that many of the criminally disturbed exhibit eccentric/oddball behavior. I never said eccentricity was a guilt on-off switch. It's akin to saying that most serial killers are white males...that doesn't make every white suspect in a killing spree investigation guilty, but it does mean that they have a higher probability of fitting the profile than a minority or a female.

DID YOU SEE THE 20/20 INTERVIEW?? Have you heard about the fucking CAMERAS at the bedroom entryways and the CODE LANGUAGE developed to alert MJ if someone was coming into the bedroom?? He doesn't just "like children" in the same sense as a kindergarten teacher or some guy on PBS. He socializes with them as equals, not as a parental/authority figure. Lets stop comparing Jacko liking kids to your average Joe who does tricks at the family gatherings or mentors on weekends.

First off I never said that either. I said that assuming the charges in the first case were false (Isn't that what you WANT me to do?), that I can't sympathize for MJ regardless of his guilt or innocence in this case considering that he continues to engage in the kind of behavior that lends to these allegations. If you were falsely accused of being a pedo and new you were a target because of your millions, why would you continue to hang/sleep in the same bed with children? Why should I lend you a shred of credibility when you put yourself in that situation? It's like sypmathizing for a guy who saw a murder investigation on TV, picked up a gun and went and hung out at the crime scene. If you're that stupid, you deserve to reap the whirlwind for your actions.

But thats not all there is to consider. Lets say you, as with many people in this country believe that OJ was justly acquited of his wife's murder. He was found innocent because he was innocent. Now lets say his current girlfriend in Florida was found stabbed at her home and OJ hasn't been seen for a couple of days, and is considered the prime suspect. Now given the situation, wouldn't you be forced to reconsider OJ's potential innocence in the first trial given the fact that 2 of his love interests just happened to be murdered? Wouldn't that be a slightly uncanny occurance? Would it not be rational to rethink the credibility of the first verdict in light of the new developments? That wouldn't necessarily mean he is guilty of either crime, as lightning has been known to strike people in clear weather and first time players have occassionally won the lotto, but it would significantly reduce the probabilities of him being innocent in both scenarios. The same logic should apply to Jackson in this case..

Dumb mindset? A dumb mindset is CONTINUING TO KICK IT WITH TOTS AFTER YOU'VE BEEN ACCUSED OF BEING A FUCKING PEDO. A dumb mindset is to assume that people won't assume you are a perve when another kid levels allegations at you simply because you are innocent (if in fact he is).

i agree with you, but the fact remains that people (the authorities or the media) AREN'T bringing the parents to task, but they ARE bringing MJ to task, so maybe its time for his dumbass to start looking out for no.1.

Ned, first if I offended you in any way by implying that you're convicting MJ, I apologize.

But to address the issue, there's a big difference between that OJ scenerio and the MJ one. Namely that someone being murdered is a fact, in black and white. The dude's dead, and everyone knows that. But in cases of molestation it's very very hard to prove. This isn't even rape we're talking about here, it's touching. We don't know if he touched the "victim" the first time, and we don't know if he did now. There's no proof that the "victim" in this case has even been touched.

Another issue is that you seem very hard up on the fact that after facing such accusations he continues to do what he does. My question is why not? If he really likes children in the way that he does. If he has a mental illness that makes him think of himself as a child and can only relate to other children on their level and lacks communication with adults. Does that make him as bad as a pedophile? And does that mean that just because he is accused of being one he should stop his actions which are in no way legal or even immoral (unless of course he's guilty)?

If a woman wears provocative attire and is raped, does this mean she should NEVER wear provocative attire in public again? Some may say that indeed she should watch herself, but why should we be FORCED to live the way society dictates that we should just because of the possibility of our unusual or non-mainstream behavior causing us harm? Shouldn't something be done about the potential harm that could be done to us instead? If a gay man risks being killed in a very anti-gay town, should he completely stop behaving as he wants to and act hetrosexual instead? Or should something be done about the violent anti-gay behavior in the town? You tell me what's right here.
