BenT said:On the whole, UK:R is some of the best gaming satire that's ever been done. It's not surprising if a lot of people don't appreciate it.
fixed!iapetus said:No, on the whole penny arcade is a peculiar mixture of brilliant gaming satire and dire GameFAQs fanboy-level whining with higher production values. The people behind the site don't seem capable of telling which is which, so they just stick it all up and see what happens.

iapetus said:Cute. Except, of course, PA doesn't do the fanboy whining. You'll need to edit a bit harder to make it work that way.
yeah, uh .. what ben said. all gabe does is whine irrationally about good games (they're bad) and bad games (they're good) etc. it's unbearable, particularly as he appears to be quite stupid.BenT said:PA does plenty of fanboy whining, Gabe in particular. That's basically his whole gaming personality.

Brilliant
I've followed it for years. They're huge Sega fans, but that's the funny part. Sega's hurt them far too many times, so they've adopted a sort of gallows humor concerning the company. It's quite unique for a game site.iapetus said:We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. Although you also ought to read through some of the UKR archives (particularly PS2-launch-era) and see if you can pull out a consistent chain of PA strips that are as close to brain-dead fanboyism as UKR manages. This is their period of (by their own definition) "Starting to dislike PS2, view DC as sick puppy with gooey eyes".
