UK Resistance - Latest Update "Not Funny"

I get good laughs off the site from time to time... Their one about Mario was hilarious, and it's even funnier since it was written before NBA Street and DDR with Mario were announced. And it's hilarious how they make fun of that Need For Speed game.
 
On the whole, UK:R is some of the best gaming satire that's ever been done. It's not surprising if a lot of people don't appreciate it.

No, on the whole UK:R is a peculiar mixture of brilliant gaming satire and dire GameFAQs fanboy-level whining with higher production values. The people behind the site don't seem capable of telling which is which, so they just stick it all up and see what happens.

yeah, uh .. what ben said. all gabe does is whine irrationally about good games (they're bad) and bad games (they're good) etc. it's unbearable, particularly as he appears to be quite stupid.

tycho on the other hand does exactly what you accused UKR of doing -- gussying up his fanboy whining. 50 cent words don't make it anything more. sometimes it's funny (the comic and/or the newspost) but mostly it's not.
 
We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. Although you also ought to read through some of the UKR archives (particularly PS2-launch-era) and see if you can pull out a consistent chain of PA strips that are as close to brain-dead fanboyism as UKR manages. This is their period of (by their own definition) "Starting to dislike PS2, view DC as sick puppy with gooey eyes".

I've followed it for years. They're huge Sega fans, but that's the funny part. Sega's hurt them far too many times, so they've adopted a sort of gallows humor concerning the company. It's quite unique for a game site.
 
Gaming Age has appeared on UKR before. It's very obscure, but some may remember it. In particular, BeOnEdge.
