On one hand I'm super excited for the new characters and balance changes and on the other hand I'm pissed I'm going to end up spending $100 just on MvC3 this year

Goddamn, Capcom.

So I'm assuming the earlier thing about Phoenix Wright is the about the one in the green background pictured here?
 
Wow I do not like that huge flashing X signalling you have X-Factor level 3. Looks very distracting.
 
I will probably bite depending on price.

Ghost Rider makes me want it enough on his own. Leather wearing flaming skull men never cease to be cool.

Edit: Just saw 40 bucks as the price point, that's fine.
 
I want Mega Man, Classic, X, Volnutt, ANY FUCKING TYPE I DON'T CARE! Just give us a little bit of MM Capcom!!

I don't want him to die with a cancelled game, at least an appearance in UMvC3 would be...a descent way to die. :(

Sadly enough they had me at the non Simple Jack cover. Sorry but this is actually worth the price of admission just like SSFIV. vs say like $15 for a freaking map pack in COD? It's a pain to wait for character reveals for the remaining 8 but I'm pretty damn sure this method is a marketing win for Capcom and gaming sites who no doubt get massive spikes in traffic on each reveal. That said I hope they'll release it as DLC too.
 
I'm glad I sold my copy of MvC3 months ago! I am hyped for Ultimate but the online better be fixed because it was completely broken in the original. $40 price point is boss too.

exactly my sentiments. I will wait for Super Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. Its nice for the fans, but its slightly a bit too early. :\

Phoenix is probably in though, lupinko hinted Firebrand like crazy and he's in.

Awesome. They made me pay $70 for the SE so i could have SG and Jill for free, and the 6 months later they announce an ultimate edition with 12 more characters. Way to screw your customers Capcom.

In case they forgot, that's what destroyed the fighting genre way back, the continious milking of fighting games.
 
I can definitely see a lot of Magneto, Morrigan and Ammy teams popping up now that Strider's orbs are a level three. It's gonna take a lot of meter to keep his orb pressure up.

Oh, and Hawkeye's level three looks like it does some SERIOUS damage.
 
I'm excited for this, but I'm a tad burnt from having bought the first one. My mistake, should have known better than to buy early from Capcom.

Oh well, as someone stated, 12 new characters via DLC would technically equal $60 anyway.

Quoting this because Gravijah pointed out in steam gaf chat that the smaller shadows are just slices of the bigger two on each side. Phoenix Wright fans can resume weeping for now =\

For those who are angry that this isn't DLC lets say they released each new character for $5 for vanilla, all the DLC would cost $60
 
I got well over 100 hours from MvC3, I have no problem paying 40 bucks for a refresh. I'm super hyped.

Edit about DLC chars - No, its insinuating those characters are included. Haters gonna hate, geez
