I wonder if Sony will actually greenlight an Uncharted sequel.
Uncharted has a shit load of potential saleswise, it's just that it needs an amazing advertising campaign behind it.

Some sort of Co-op would be cool, but the last thing they need to waste their time on is some sort of competitive multiplayer.

I agree and disagree.

Co-op, that is well written into the storyline, would be great.

Competitive MP would be a blast IMO.

I don't think co-op needs to be written into the story, just throw in another random character that is playable and have him disappear during the cutscenes (ala Halo 1).

One of the strong points of the gamewas the strengthof the story, until the plot twist, and the awesome characters. It would be a shame to have an irrelevant character fighting alongside you with no story connection. The whole game was paced so well because it was story driven.

So different from the moral outcry there would be if it was set in a certain other part of the world.

Against having the game set in that persons native land? I'm guessing you mean the Middle East?

Hell no, India is a beautiful country that deserves more notoriety and I'd never have a problem with them setting the game there... I just hope for N'gai's sake that they get some Indian dudes to work on the game...

Yes, this will do a lot to address the troubling racial politics of the first game... Oh, wait, that's right, it won't at all. I loved the first game but man... bad choice if true.

Edit: Okay, that was a bit unfair since we haven't even seen/heard anything about the game. All I'm saying is that I'm wary of the choice of the 'exotic', 'mystical' locale (if, in fact, it turns out to be true). But yes, I still think the first game (which I own) had problems with race.

I had no major issues with certain enemies in Uncharted. My issue was that sometimes it was too dark to see anything. Also, some of the ledges you could jump to were a bit hard to spot, leading to trial, error and death.

Other than that, the game was fantastic and the last playable section was probably the first time Ive ever seen a game match or exceed a movie of the same style. Really well done.

Doesn't matter where they set the next one. It's an instant purchase for me.

About the first one: there wasn't a racist outcry over it, was there? Shooting Spaniards in South American-ish islands? Given the history of the places involved, who ELSE could it be? Besides, Drake was English and caucasian at that. Just like Spanish people.

Is this really an issue? I suppose a game like Uncharted would work wonderfully set in the middle of Johnny Whitesville, USA.

It all depends on how it's done. Could be a big deal, might not at all. I shot my mouth off a bit.

Uncharted 2 co-op idea.

Eleina still has her show and she's teamed with Drake. Co-op mode has your buddy controlling Eleina where she must snap pictures of the ruins/treasures/
monsters
during their adventure. She does sport some fire arms to help your buddy in tough situations but she still needs photos of the action as well.

Nice. I'm just playing through Uncharted again. I was about 60% complete on my Crushing playthrough, and now I'm right near the end. I'll go back and pick up the Strange Relic to finally unlock everything in the game. UDF2 is already near the top of my Must Have list. PEACE.

So... Animal Crossing, right?

Less shooting more platforming.

QFT.

Brilliant pacing my ass.

2 minute walk, 10 minute gunfight. Repeat 3 times, watch cutscene.

I loved the adventure parts, but the gunfights got old very quickly.

I didn't say anything about pacing, I just wanted a Tomb Raider clone, not a Gears of War clone minus the co-op. I don't think a smidgen of variety would hurt it, every single fucking game this generation is a shooter

I ain't even sayin' I didn't like it though, so I won't sidetrack the topic any further, sorry for this.

Oh shit read the quote backwards, thought you wanted more shooting. Statement retracted.

Hope they come up with a more believable story this time. The story was great up until the
freaking stupid monsters
came in. That totally ruined it for me.

I agree!

As far as India is concerned, it would be awesome to explore the chambers of the Taj Mahal for clues.

QFT. Every game that comes out these days doesn't need multiplayer, but co-op for Uncharted would be awesome.
Yup, why would ND take time away from making a great single player adventure to make a multiplayer mode which most likely feel tacked on. Coop won't be that hard since the game is about a group going on an adventure.

..Um.. no?

You don't think it would be fun filming different locations a la dead rising (but in video form) to be saved on your hard drive? You still shoot but Eleana gets the video sections while Drake does the platforming. This would be Uncharted's version of Gears' branching segments.

I would rather them focus on a great single player experience and some multiplayer modes. Making the game co-op doesn't sound right with Uncharted.

Uncharted 2 in India? That'd be hot.

I hope they give Nate a goatee.
:O
In all seriousness, I'd love to see Nate get a bit shabbier over time as they stay in remote places.
A sense of time is awesome in games.

Your type kills me.

You're the same folks who say the game had this 'problem with race' but if someone was discriminated against in public you tuck your tail between your legs and shut up, then talk about it later.

Quit pretending like you actually CARE. Your moral crusade for videogames does very little for the real world.

Assuming all the symbols wrap around the orb without spaces between them, it's more likely that it says 'madman' and not 'manmad.'
I have the "Strange Relic" unlocked and looked at it again, the symble wrap around the egg..
there is a space and a dot in the lettering so take it as you will

.mad(space)man

or

(space)man.mad

personally i think your right

Why would "manmad" have a dot like "man.mad?" It makes more sense for it to be "mad man."

And so the brief glimmer of hope in the eyes of Uncharted fans everywhere is dampened.
