Uncharted 2 to be set in Manmad, India?

what's with shinblade's avator?!

Anyway, I just thought that having innocent bystanders might introduced some of the problems that marred AC. Having to add stealth to Uncharted would also be a big change, although I think it would fit Nathan's character (being the reluctant everyman.) I would like big chase sequences, it's just that in the first game the combat and the platforming are kept so separate, I don't know if it work if you mix the two. The platforming bits are almost always done without the pressure of the enemy or time, which gave me a good break between combat sequences. On the other hand, I can see that you can have a lot more variety in enemy encounters if you are allowed to make more use of the geography. I don't like how I was able to identify immediate whether an area is about platforming or combat.

Maybe I'm forgetting that it's Naughty Dog and whatever they do, they will probably pull it off.

Well you could mini-stealth in Unchartered, thats how you could run up behind pirates and snap some necks, then hide again; BUT the enemies in Uncharted have Hawk vision, Mouse hearing, they don't miss a beat and when they see one of their own missing they go into alert mode, and spin around guns pointed. They WILL catch you if you try extended sneaking.

Nate already does a form of stealth as he has all the mechanics except a crouch walk or stomach crawl. They would have to significantly decrease enemy A.I ( which I don't want ) and set hot routes to enable that form of stealth for e.g in Splinter Cell or MGS.

Its not too far off. I would just like to crack necks as long as could before I'm caught and the cover mechanic shooting begins.

Still Uncharted 2 can be balanced. For e.g a Chapters layout = action sequence, platforming sequence, action and platforming sequence, platforming, cinematic.

Its just all down to pacing

I love the stealth in Uncharted, no fuss no muss, it's all about catching the enemy off-guard instead of just crawling around for an extended period of time, I think Naughty Dog did an amazing job with the pacing of the levels, I don't mind if they inject some more puzzles and platforming challenges but the combat seems very polished as it stands and doesn't really need to be messed with much if at all.

Nate should be really old in the sequel, a really grizzled, jaded old treasure hunter on his last legs. And he should have terminal cancer or something, and a beard and peg leg, and that leg should affect gameplay. Maybe it has a built in spring for super jumps, and maybe you have to be careful walking on hard surfaces because enemies will hear it clanking on the ground.

Also, I think the game would need another ''pure adventure'' sequence like the 2nd and 3rd missions in Uncharted 1. No fighting, just exploration of a cool location. I liked the pacing of the game anyway, but I could have used another break from the formula at some point.

Actually, it means King.

Maybe you meant jada.. which means simpleton, or idiot...

Ha wow. I've always thought the word translated to "idiot," but a look at the Wikipedia article says otherwise. Apparently "idiot" is another name for a monarch in one of the cultures of India?
