Uncharted remaster in holiday.

Most of them are multiplatform, there are a few japanese exclusives like Persona 5 and Dragon Quest Heroes but they are relatively niche.
Uncharted being delayed is like Halo being delayed, it's a huge thing and a blow to the holiday lineup, people have to be honest on this.
If they know that they have other big games planned which will be announced later this year (something like the R&C reboot + some big surprise like TLG finally being ready or whatever) then it might be justified, otherwise it's a huge fuck up that puts a serious question on how Yoshida is handling first party development (both quality and quantity have not been up to expectations so far).

Doesn't matter if they're multiplatform. 3rd party games are what makes consoles sell. Lets not forget either that PS4 leads in total 3rd party software sales. It sucks that UC4 is not coming this year, but the big 3rd party titles will carry the PS4 through the holidays. And we don't know what else Sony has planned yet anyway.

Sony release games throughout the year.

That's irrelevant to the Holiday season(also all of the big three release games throughout the year). The Order 1886 might have done okay in sales but word of mouth is likely to hurt its legs bad, Bloodborne will probably do okay, but it is a niche title and other than that the only other big game they have announced for this year is a remake/re-imagining of Ratchet and Clank. Unless they've been keeping a big game a secret that hasn't leaked it seems they are putting all their chips on 2016, which may or may not result in them losing another Holiday in the US, but I guess in the grand scheme of things they might see that as an acceptable loss(again, assuming they don't have a big title to announce at E3 for the Holiday or a big price drop to help coast through the holiday).

I honestly wouldn't count on them having a big secret game lined up for holiday to compete with Halo 5 either since that seems to be what they planed for Uncharted 4, so unless they planned on competing with not only Halo 5 and themselves they probably won't have a big holiday title.

All that being said I'm not saying it's some doom and gloom situation because of this and Uncharted 4 will likely be a better game because of this. I'm just stating that it's really weird that it seems Sony might go two Holidays in a row without a big holiday exclusive, especially after MS beat them out in the US this past Holiday. I honestly thought that Sony would sooner throw tons of extra resources at Uncharted 4 to get it out this year than push it to next.

I'd say it makes a difference. Sony can absorb one lost holiday season. Two is a much worse scenario. They can only do that so long before the momentum starts getting away from them.

I'm not a PS+ member, and none of the game I played on it was worth buying it.

Good for you if you prefer to play on the PS4 but some of us don't.

Last time I buy a console from Sony early, when they don't abandon the thing like the Vita, they can't even release game in a timely fashion. The only retail games they haven't delayed are Killzone and Knack.

The only reason this bothers me is because the 2015 was a lie to begin with. Same thing with Arkham Knight. If a game is delayed by a month it's because something unseen came up. If the game is delayed by 4-6 months, and that delay happens 8 months out it's because they were never planning on releasing that original date.
So in my opinion stop lying in the first place. I get that Sony looks at their upcoming first party games and realizes that they don't having anything. But I don't see how pretending that you have games coming out sooner helps.

If MS continues to beat them handily every holiday while Sony just sits there with their dick in their hand resting on the other parts of the year, it could come back to bite them in the court of public opinion. Not with GAF users, but with the average person who buys a lot of games and consoles during the holiday. I'm not saying it's guaranteed to screw them, just that it is a risk they don't have to be taking if they could just get their exclusives out on time. Acting like this delay won't impact their sales is completely ignorant.

You know what this is going to do, it's going to open the gates. If a game like U4 got delayed you can bet your ass many other AAA games will jump ship from 2015 since ND did it as well.
