Uncharted 4 MP weekend officially announced

I have never really enjoyed the UC MP before. I liked the little bit of TLoU MP that i tried. What are the impressions from the beta?

Oh it doesn't look terrible or anything, it is actually quite nice looking. Just that it is definitely a big step down from the visuals in the SP, which is to be expected.

We also have to remember, that with ND games it goes like this.

Cinematics>SP>MP in terms of visuals. Some people seem to think(or forget) the Cinematics (what they mostly show in the trailers) are the same as gameplay graphics. But actual SP gameplay is a small downgrade. It all still looks pretty phenomenal.

Mp was amazing. Most fun I've had this gen mp wise.

I am aware of this, though cinematic visuals will closely match gameplay visuals now with everything being realtime.

Also I loved the beta and never enjoyed the previous UC multiplayers. Mechanically it is just freakin' amazing and so much fun.

Oh man oh man, the first beta was so much fun. Naughty Dogs really surprised me with U4's and The Last of Us' mutliplayer.

I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

great to hear. And my comment about visuals wasnt directed at you, just a general comment. Anyways, havent all their previous games cinematics been real-time as well though? Or at least recent games.

Nope. All of their PS3 games had pre-rendered cutscenes.

Pure how? You only download full games or something?

Yup, I've resisted the temptation to DL betas and demos so far. The Library is already cluttered with PS+ games, I would hate to add to it things that will become obsolete after a few days.

This one is tempting though, watched way too many rope takedown gifs from the last beta.

As someone who has never thought UC played particularly well, I urge you to play the beta. It was fantastic last time.

It still doesn't deliver those heart-pounding thrills I get from Gears but it is an excellent alternative.

Who gives a shit, it's 60fps. More than worth the trade off. You can drool over the single player visuals which will be great.

Skipping this. Like I said in the other thread, while the game looks and feels great online, deathmatch modes are the antithesis of fun more me. There are few things I'd rather do less in games than play TDM.

Downloaded again and all ready to go for Friday! :)

I'm super excited to play this again this weekend. I loved the first beta, and I'm interested to see if they changed or improved anything since then.

Git gud!

ND's games have always had some of the biggest descrepencies I've seen between SP and MP visuals. I'm just glad that this time it's in service of 60fps MP gameplay.

I'm not sure about other stores but UK has the client ready for download.
Yeah, reading through the thread, it seems like it is already up in UK and US PSN and probably a few others. I tried searching Uncharted 4, but I couldn't find the beta at all.

I really enjoyed the last beta. They really found a nice flow between the shooting and the new traversal mechanics. Plus the actual shooting itself has really good feedback with the way the new reticule and hit markers work.

Most of the tweaks needed are with the way the powerups and sidekicks work. They seem a little too prevalent and are too easy to rely on. That said I didn't think they were bad and some had a nice place in the overall gameplay loop.

That's a shame. Hopefully, It should be available before the open weekend in Malaysia. If not, create a UK/US account.

You also have to realize that a controlled single player experience differs greatly to a chaotic multiplayer with particles everywhere, explosions, multiple high-fidelity characters, etc. running around needing to not impact gameplay.

Like I said earlier, I think it is less that and more because most of the resources are put towards the campaign. If they were making a MP only game, it would come a lot closer to the SP visuals we get from them.

The closed beta was a masterclass in what a beta should be, lots of updates based on feedback and really great uptime. I just wish the game wasn't so expensive! It's still £46 on Amazon which is more than any game I've ever bought.
