Could you swear to me that this forest screen is not from the photo mode ? No effects added ?
I don't know what/where that is from, it's the smoothest look AND playing 30fps game I've played, and their motion blur technique is highly regarded.
Those forest screenshots. Are you kidding me?
Credit to Alex.
Haha I don't think I've ever seen one of those in the UK.
I'm just hoping the sketchy UK online retailers ship it as soon as they get stock in.
2016ConsoleUncharted 4 Screenshot Thread (READ RULES IN OP)
incoming.
Yeah that's what I mean. I used to live in Belgium and there was one tiny one there which was cool and had loads of second hand retro stuff but I think that even closed down.Do you mean a little local place? It's a shame, becuase there really isn;t many independent places that sell videogames anymore.
Be prepared for some more random screens of details. Like explosion smoke, bullets, debri, etc from Madagascar level. Gimme one sec.
I think they probably mean more about scale and tone. Nothing like capsizing cruise ships or flying out of airplanes and the like. Smaller scale, but no less bombastic in terms of action.
There's always those cool kids who are above it all and say the game just isn't good. It happens. Are we overhyping this game? I feel like mass disappointment is inevitable.
Hey SlasherJPC is Bullet Speed modifer something like slow mo bullet time from Max Payne games ?
What are we exactly refering to with bombastic? I only ask because I'm thrilled with what I've done so far and not sure what that word is actually meaning in the case of Uncharted. Like more grounded?
Most of U4's set pieces aren't like the train sequence, the plane crash, or even the E3 2015 demo with the tank. There's a couple of 'big blockbuster' moments, but as a whole the game is more grounded and hence the set pieces match that and feel more real as a result.
I love these shots in particular from Shinobi's post. The lighting especially just looks amazing. Location spoilers obviously.

The cold gaze of a man dead inside
I don't have the game myself but these are some impressions from someone who's beaten it.
Spoiler-free impressions:
- Gameplay is fantastic. Shooting now has a weight to it and the freedom of how you tackle encounters feels great.
- Set pieces are less bombastic, but no less memorable or exciting.
- Chapters are more meaningful and each one feels very distinct. They're much longer than in previous games too.
- Speaking of which, my end clock was 14 hours. I reckon most playthoughs will be between 12-16 hours. It's pretty meaty!
- Music has less memorable themes, but it's the best implementation of music in the series. Firefight music in particular is great (very pirate like)
- It's the best looking game on the system bar none...you already knew that.
- But what shines is the art direction, it's so beautiful! Colors are vibrant and each environment is so wonderfully well crafted, it feels so organic.
- Smoothest 30fps game I've ever played, no hyperbole. Their masterful implementation of motion blur is like nothing I've ever seen.
- Incredibly clean image, everything is so sharp and the AA solution removes any noticeable jaggies.
- Details, details, details. People say you don't notice the little things, you do. In many ways it's the 'biggest' Uncharted, but it's also the most down to earth, so all the little things stand out so much more.
- The ending is perfect. PERFECT!
Unfortunately they're JPEGs but still look great.

Anyone else notice they have a 'slip on death' for the mirror mode? I've got to try that out.
You... you caved to some slight spoilers... welcome aboard, lol!
I did notice that... can you link me to what 'slip on death' is...
Also, what do the different audio modes mean?
It should have read 'flip on death'. lol
I'm assuming it keeps flipping mirror mode every time you die.
So disappointed in ND. Such a predictable ending.Just spoiled the ending for myself, I can't believe sully ate drake
Ah gotcha... it sounds like a blast.
I love that the cut-scenes are now rendered in real time in-engine, so the different filters work in them as well.
The explosion shots... is it me, or does Nate's pants appear to wrinkle a little more depending on how he stands... or maybe the shadowing maps depending on lighting giving the illusion?
I would not put it past ND if there were real time calculations in clothing.
I'm more concerned about getting locations, characters and scenarios spoilt. I'm not that bothered about things like this.
I still don't get it, the City set piece is a full chase on a big ass environment that turns into the U2 trucks set piece and than back to driving and slamming into the enemies and than an on rail chase on a motorcycle, all happens continuously without interruption, how the hell it can be described as "smaller scale"?
This. Like seriously, less bombastic? Really!?

Goddamn mass murderer.
I imagine this image will get some use the next time someone proposes that Drake is a mass murderer. Seriously after he, Sully and his brother destroyed that city in the e3 demo and then laughed it off it seriously makes me wonder how this game will end.

I don't understand how people can't suspend their disbelief. Its a video game. info drop
Maybe it is more 'grounded' is what they are looking for... like no toppling buildings or falling out of military transport aircraft with no chute, lol.
That's exactly what they mean.
I think it's because ND proposes that Nathan Drake is "just a normal guy."I don't understand how people can't suspend their disbelief. Its a video game. Don't think too much about the bodycount.
Ffs man. Where in that post did I propose that Drake is a mass murderer? Please point it out to me because I must have missed it.Well, it's not a Ubisoft game and this is CrossingEden you're talking about, so...
