This was not a good way to start off my day. I need to see a picture of this monster.

His assistants need to go to jail too. And of course it's Florida.

I'd probably have murdered that dude if he did that to my kid, no joke. What kind of sick fuck rips children's teeth out simply for money? I hope he gets whatever the harshest punishment they can give to him (Which probably won't amount to much knowing our legal system)

Reminds me of a dentist i went to years back who was adamant on doing either a root canal on these back teeth and doing 2 crowns or pulling and doing a bridge or implants. I went with pull because i couldn't afford the root canals + crowns and when i went to get them pulled the guy looked at my teeth and immediately knew that they didn't need to be pulled and sent me to this guy across town.

Turns out they just needed a filling and not 2 months later the guy who wanted to do all this shit to my teeth had shut down his practice and moved out of state. Wasn't the first shady dentist i have been to either one place straight closed up overnight and bounced fucking a lot of people out of their money here. I can't remember the name but it was all over the news. Thankfully the guy i go to now is 100% in the business of whats best for you. Will work on payment and do everything he can to make it as cheap as possible.

If i was a super vindictive man i would say remove all his teeth and put him in jail. Guy from OP story is a awful, awful human being.

If you have money in Rick Scott's state, you likely won't be facing any major charges.

Yeah one of the dentists I went to when I was a kid did all kinds of unnecessary work on my teeth. I remember one hygienist shoving the metal tool they use to check for cavities into one of my fillings (that they did) and told me I needed a root canal. I am now terrified of dentists.

I mean, just about everything dentists do is unnecessary so I don't see the big deal. The only thing concerning is the potential for abuse, but there's absolutely no evidence of that.

You should be kept away from children.

Is child abuse not a crime in America? Any sane person can see this is assault so why is he not in jail? Rich old and white?

And if never occurred to him to just forge the paperwork? Why put in two crowns on one tooth and pull it instead of just lying about it? Did he think bullshit procedures showing up in the paperwork would be less suspicious if he had a trail of victims to support his fraud?

I really did pull all the teeth out of a 3 year-olds skull, and here's the toothless baby to prove it! Money please.

Stuff like this makes me so disappointed and angry at who we are.

A person who does this to others for money doesn't deserve to be here. Just like that judge who sent all those kids to for-profit prisons. These people are fucking scum.

Jesus fucking Christ. I had one tooth pulled as a kid, by a super nice dentist who was all comforting and warm, and I still remember how scared I was. I can't begin to fathom how horrified the poor kids were.
Good thing they will still get their adult teeth in due time... But it won't cancel the trauma.

It's unbelievable he's getting away with it :( This is all disturbing as fuck.

What a scummy asshole.
One lesson I got out of having a dentist in the family: never let anyone pull your tooth as long as there's any hope for it left and you can afford to have it fixed. There are dentists who will just shrug and want to pull teeth that can be saved with a bit more effort, like the one you met - in which case, switch a dentist.

You do realize they make more money saving teeth than taking them out

Imagine being 78 and still thinking you need millions.

You're gonna die soon and you will still ruin the mouths of children for money. I don't believe in souls, but his would be one ugly son of a bitch.

This guy's not a dentist, he's a psychopath. His license should have been taken away years ago. He should have been thrown in jail years ago

I have long suspected I had unnecessary dental work done when I was a kid. I have a lot of fillings, and have had a few broken teeth from fillings coming loose.

I hope this dentist goes to prison.

Premature extraction of deciduous (baby) teeth can cause displacement of permanent (adult) teeth, once they erupt. Imagine being too embarrassed to smile because your teeth are all wonky and out of place.
Long lasting effects:
  • Growing up and spending their adult life feeling like they have bad teeth. Can have effects on mental health, causing things like depression.
  • Fear and avoidance of the dentist causing suffering because of other untreated dental problems.
Possibly many more...

The initial trauma is horrifying itself but this can seriously impact the child for life. He is truly a monster.

I'm no dentist but those don't look like baby teeth to me. Look how long the "root" is.

Tie this monster to a chair, give all of his victims dentist drills and let them go to work.
And charge the rest of his staff with willful negligence. They're accomplices.

Fucking horrifying. Ideally he should be strapped to a chair and have all his teeth pulled out with a wrench or just broken with a hammer.

My brother showed me a video on this guy yesterday mentioning the same thing. Truly disgusting and horrifying. Those poor kids.

My old dentist did some shady stuff like this, but that was more along the lines of unnecessary billing, lying about what insurance covered, etc. Nothing like this, that's just terrible.

These are all civil suits if i am not wrong, where the fuck are the criminal charges against this monster, stuff sounds like something straight of a horror movie..Fuckkk

What a sick sick greedy bastard.

As to why criminal charges wouldn't be pressed, I would imagine that it is due to medical necessity charges being incredibly difficult to prove for criminal charges. Factor in that this guy is 78 years old and agrees to give up his license and you have the recipe for not filing charges. It would take a special prosecutor to take this case on, speaking frankly.

That the board allowed this guy to practice for decades with multiple complaints and suits is the real issue-they are almost always going to catch wind of issues before the state medicaid program does and rare is it that they will do anything other than a slap on the wrist until too much damage is done.

Unfortunately the way state medicaid programs are set up and run really lead to this scenario, this is not an uncommon occurrence. Usually it is just billing for services not actually rendered, but you do run across these habitual over-treaters like this.

The money thing isn't what bothers me, it's the kid screaming. I'd choke that bastard out myself if he did that to my child.

Dentists can remove a child's teeth without parent consent? When I had to get my wisdom teeth removed they had me sign papers before doing it, I would have thought they'd need that too to remove a kid's teeth.
