Unexplored - The great action roguelike you probably haven't heard of

They really need to make some stuff more transparent. Leaving stuff up to be discovered is great, but it took me like 15h to figure out how to make tea (which is in no way obvious) or learn that the stove doesn't do anything (yet).

Also literally found one firearm in my 25h in the game and it was from a boss.

Wow. Convinced my buddy to get the game and on his first playthrough he types in a vulgar seed and got at least to floor 10 on his first try, what the hell.
The seed gave him about 12 daggers to throw around by the end of the second level. I've only got down to floor 6 in my 5 hours in the game so far!

EDIT: Wow, he made it to the 17th floor! But it was his second go at the same seed.

I think I won Unexplored, y'all. I found an Amulet of Eternity. It's gamechanging, so I'll spoiler it:

I never ended up needing it (I escape with the macguffin Amulet of Yendor), but still, its existence to begin with shocked me. Was in the first four floors, in a hidden room IIRC.

Nah, the reason I won is because of Lord Grievous. For once in his bloody life, he accepted my offering without giving me a cursed weapon; he, instead, gave me a fire rune, which in turn allowed me to enchant a regular mace I found into this:
It started as a +1 Glowing Mace, with much less damage, no corrode resistance, a lesser fire enchant, and the same glowing property. But it set me up for the last half of the dungeon and let me boost it up to this level, thanks to a lot of Enchant scrolls, a protect scroll, and of course an extra fire rune. (Strength potions were also quite plentiful.)

This dungeon had two themes: spikes... and fire. Fortunately the two never mixed, but it was pretty bad. There were entire floors fillled with spike traps, entire floors filled with fire (of both literal and figurative varieties), and the occasional floor filled with darkness hiding fire or spikes. It was largely a nightmare. There was also, apparently, a sacred site in it, but I was never able to figure out how to get in there; I screwed up one puzzle early on, which I assume connected to it in some way.

Thankfully, the glowing mace took care of the darkness problem early on, and the Fire Ant Queen (which thankfully wasn't a Spike Ant queen) resulted in me forging a fire-resistant leather armour that carried me through the entire dungeon, right up to and including the boss.

Along the way I learned a devastating forge combo: Stone Armor + Metal Rune = (spoiler because omg)
This is unmodified. Yeah.

The boss was--you guessed it--a fire dragon. It spent 90% of its time stunned by Lord Girevous' fire mace. The other 10% was spent chasing me onto a platform where I killed it so I could loot its leather. The freezing potions did nothing.

All hail Olf Ulft, conquerer of 334239000.
For some reason the game considers him an Archmage. He wore heavy armour, used a heavy shield, wielded a mace, and wore a helmet. He had two staves that he rarely used. Of course, like all archmages, everything he used was magical, so it actually makes sense... I guess.

Unexplored generates some really lovely adventures, y'all.

Anyone been checking out Arcade mode?
Arcade Mode has arrived! If you are up for a new challenge you should try it. In this mode you will see the most monsters, magic, and mayhem the game has to offer. Arcade mode is tough, with many enemies spawning: you’ll be knee-deep in their dead. To compensate there is also a lot of magic loot. In fact, all character classes start with an extra boost to help deal with the hordes that populate the Dungeon of Doom in this mode.
