Honest question for people.

Are people literally excited about Hilary bring president.

Or is it JUST that you want NOTHING to do with trump being president.

So basically defaulting to wanting hilary to win, curious.
The more I've learned about Hillary over the past year or so, the more I've been impressed. She has the experience and fortitude to handle the role. Considering the howling shitstorm of sexist attacks she's weathered for decades now, I have every confidence in her abilities. Her record suggests she will govern effectively, defend civil rights advances, and uphold progressive values by nominating progressive SCOTUS justices and investing in science, education, and the social safety net. She is intelligent and takes science seriously, she has substantial foreign policy experience, and her extensive travels have put her in contact with many different people and cultures.

Basically, her experience, voting record, and views are sufficiently close to (or better than) what I look for in a Democratic candidate, and she's a kickass tough-as-nails politician who rose to the top in an environment that's utterly hostile to outspoken women.

Lots of demographic shifts for the most part I think. Youth, immigration and pretty culturally vibrant and active metros that attract more of those two groups.

Nothing is a guarantee of course. Some disaster could happen, like terrorism, bad presidents, poor lawmaking by Congress, to reverse those trends. But the trends are definitely there.

Right thanks. I would actually believe this happens all over the US though?

Yeah. I keep thinking about that. I'm Canadian but this looks ugly. This decision should be a no-brainer even if you normally vote republican. Trump is a clown. Hell, even if you took the racism and sexism out of the equation. Trump is still a fucking clown. How the fuck do you vote for this man?

Because you can't take the racism out. The Republican platform is built on it, it's one of the principle reasons why people vote Republican.

Honestly, if Trump wins, I can't help but think that they cheated somehow.

Is that just as bad as a Trump supporter saying the system is rigged if he loses?

No, absolutely not. You should be a bit more worried. It's not looking to go in her favor AT THE MOMENT.

It's not looking good for her in FLORIDA! That's all. Northern Virginia has not come in yet and I have not seen anything else worrying right now.

With Ohio leaning Trump, Florida slight lead Trump, and Virginia 5% Trump lead.

Why aren't we freaking out? That seems really bad to me. Obviously I'm missing something.

Before anyone freaks out about any state, please check out the percentage reporting at this time. Many states still only have 1% of precincts reporting right now.

Oklahoma City's NBC affiliate:

"State Question 790, which has to do with public money for religious purposes, is failing 56% to 43%."

They may be in favor of the death penalty and bleeding our education system dry, but at least this state managed to agree to separation of church and state.

Calling it now. High turnout but the result is going to be very close to Obama-Romney. Really gross that so many people would vote for a wannabe fascist
