We as a nation actually discussed it in a meeting last week, and we decided that while it's very flattering we didn't want to overextend the "Canada" brand right now. When your IP is this hot, you have to pull back a little or risk saturation of the brand name.

But ask again in 2008 when Rumsfeld gets elected.

the Greatest country in north america.

Of course the biggest knock against any serious thought about such an idea is that no state is really red or blue, but purple. Even the farthest out of states (as long as we're not counting D.C.) is split about 70-30.

We'll take San Francisco, and Seattle.

Probably have to integrate New York City in over a decade or so though

Red states got owned so hard right there.

Well it is ironic that the states that vote Blue put the most money into the government and the red states get the most money.

It's my personal belief this country actually is in crisis. And if Bush takes his "mandate" and further sticks it to the infidels, this country could have a real Civil War in its future.

As for this notion? Sign me up. If South Florida couldn't be the Puerto Rico of this country, I'll move to California.

Red states owned blue states on November 2, that was just getting back a little.

They were owned with the quote. Meaning they talk all that crap about how the federal governement is evil (Except for when it comes to governing individual's rights. Then it needs regulation), but get the majority of the money. And as the quotes say, 90 percent of the red states are welfare states of the federal government.

Are they laughing about it? You bet. But the thing about poor winners is this, eventually you piss off the wrong loser and get a fist to face. They don't seem concerned about this and if they don't become conciliiatory, there will be a revolution in the next 20 years.

You know... the United States of Canada would make a really awesome country :p

I also find it amusing that Jesusland looks like a bigger texas.

Eh. America politically and socially is beginning to piss me off, but geographically and climate-wise the US is so much better than Canadia. I think I'll hang out here, even if it means living around a bunch of close-minded rednecks and evangelical nutcases.

I can't believe you won't take Illinois with you! Compromise and at least take the upper half.

We have Obama and uh... erm, Jordan (who better to oversee the new National Canadian Basketball League)!!!

Chicago pizza does wonders to melt those cold Canadian winters too.

But with USC, you can have your weather and politics!

Yet, there are 38 states today that may be inclined to adopt, let us call it, a "Declaration of Expulsion," that is, a specific constitutional amendment to kick out the systemically troublesome states and those trending rapidly toward anti-American, if not outright subversive, behavior. The 12 states that must go: California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maryland, and Delaware. Only the remaining 38 states would retain the name, "United States of America." The 12 expelled mobs could call themselves the "Dirty Dozen," or individually keep their identity and go their separate ways, probably straight to Hell.

* BUSH USA is predominantly white; devoutly Christian (mostly Protestant); openly, vigorously heterosexual; an open land of single-family homes and ranches; economically sound (except for a few farms), but not drunk with cyberworld business development, and mainly English-speaking, with a predilection for respectfully uttering "yes, ma'am" and "yes, sir."

* GORE/KERRY USA is ethnically diverse; multi-religious, irreligious or nastily antireligious; more sexually liberated (if not in actual practice, certainly in attitude); awash with condo canyons and other high-end real estate bordered by sprawling, squalid public housing or neglected private homes, decidedly short of middle-class neighborhoods; both high tech and oddly primitive in its commerce; very artsy, and Babelesque, with abnormally loud speakers.

:lol :lol :lol

Well, good luck to them.

1) YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU'LL NEVER ESCAPE, EXPOS!

2) Does this mean the Yankees, Rangers, and Knicks will fold and be moved to Phoenix?

3) Quebec is very pro-Jesus too. Take them and Alberta.

4) The United States of Canada would kick the United States of Jesus' ass.

Seriously. Do you really want all three major sources of oil in North America in Jesusland's hands? Sure politically it could go either way, but leaving it in their hands would just give them the upper hand.

I personally think it's hilarious that the one thing that would most unite your country is a terrorist attack. If I'm Bush, you almost want it to happen at this point.

Aside from a large amount of faux patriotism and bravado immediately post 9-11, did it really unite the country? Given the way the administration handled things in the following years, it may have actually only helped to make the internal division even more pronounced.

Part of the deal between the US and Canada would be that liberals residing in red states have the option of leaving Jesusland by settling in Alberta.

You can't take Southern Cali. Well, go ahead and take the illegal immigrants but San Diego and Orange County are ours.

Does not compute. You start off with a statement that asks whether or not the country was divided after 9-11. Of course it was. You then go into the following years and discuss division that happened down the road, and that is a true statement as well. However the two are not related.
