(US) PSN just sent me $10 US PSN credit in my inbox

I assume it's not for Canada too?

PS+ since its launch, bought a Vita quite early, and have spent far, far too much money on PSN over the years. Seems weird I wouldn't receive it, though maybe I'm still in the queue.

Got it myself a couple of days ago. Not a PS+ subscriber. Maybe it has something to do with how much you spent/played?

Lots of us Canadians got it.

Yeah, I got my credit the other day, but I have no idea what to buy. I pretty much have everything I want already. I'm debating between Strangers Wraths, and Legend of Heroes: TitS. I'm waiting to see if anything interesting is hitting the Vita next Tuesday. I guess I'll hold onto it for now.

So today I got a $5 credit for some reason, it said that certain items listed for free that I bought weren't actually free so they refunded the money to my wallet ($1.99) and gave me an extra $5 to apologize.

I was almost confused because I didn't remember getting anything free recently outside of PS+ stuff, but then I realized they were referring to some PlayStation All-Stars DLC minions that were supposed to be $.50 each but showed up as free... yet still charged to your account. The thing is, I already knew about that bug beforehand thanks to GameFAQs and only bought one minion pack that showed the correct price of $1.99 anyways. So basically they gave me some free DLC and $7! Thanks Sony!

Got my $10.

Live in Canada, just got a PS3 and Vita for the first time last year. Been purchasing a fair bit of digital content and have been signed up to PS+ since around July or so.

I have a few friends who have PS3s and PSN, but never buy anything digitally. I wonder if they got vouchers too... will have to check.

Or that they're giving it out to as many users as whatever program/software they use to generate US PSN usernames as possible

I'm a bit peeved I didn't get a credit tbh. I've spent a ton of coin in the PS store and I've played enough to endanger my social standing. What gives, Sony?

I got my $10, to be fair, I joined PSN early 2007, been a PS+ since the beginning, I got it from the PS3 messaging service, pretty cool it linked right through the PS store

Still haven't gotten one, despite:

  • Using the same PSN account since the ps3's launch
  • Buying lots of games for ps3 and PSP with said account
  • Having PS+ since day one (save for a one day sub lapse)

What else I gotta do, man?? I hope it wasn't that one day lapse in subscription that did it. =(

Wish I could access my messages from my pc as I don't have access to my PS3. Hopefully these don't expire before I get a chance to see if I got one.

I bought some "13 deals of 2013" or so games, I am PS+ and did get a voucher. Not sure if that matters. Also Vita owner but rarely buy anything Vita.

Nothing for me. I buy lots of stuff off psn and have ps plus for a long time. Kinda feel like everyone else got invited to the awesome party but me. Don't even care much about the $10 now and want to know why I'm excluded. Am I not cool enough?

I only got 5 dollars from it. However I don't complain as its something. For anyone's information I have only had a US account since late December and Vita. Paid for plus and several 50 dollar PSN cards.

The message, not the credit.
Okay, to be specific, it says "Code expires 3/5/13." in the message I received. To get the credit one has to select the attached voucher, which opens up the PSN Store and automatically fills in the code number. The message will still be there, but after march 5 the code probably won't work.

Not that I'd ever do it, but would it be theoretically possible to call Sony and ask for them to resend the voucher because the "voucher" they sent originally didn't work?

It's a question. Don't try it.

Well... if your voucher legitimately didn't work then one would think they'd be able to check the code and see that it wasn't used. However, considering my previous encounters with Sony's customer service I somehow doubt that they will do much of anything.
