I'm kind of having trouble finding $100 worth of content to buy, which is odd. Granted, I already own a ton of PSN games, and I have a Playstation Plus subscription
Here is what I'm getting for sure:
Journey - $15
The Unfinished Swan - $15
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath - $15
Tokyo Jungle - $15
Dark Souls DLC - $15
Infamous: Festival of Blood - $2.50
That's just under $77.50
I'm also considering Okami -$20
The last Siren episode bundle (though I still haven't played through the first two, even though I bought them years ago) - $15
Datura - $10
Hamilton's Great Adventure - $10
Here is what I'm getting for sure:

This is such a smart marketing. Not everyone will make it to $100 mark. Whether they do or not, it's still a win-win for Sony/devs.
They should definitely do this kind of thing more often, and make sure to do it in Europe next time as well.
As you said, people are buying more than they usually would just to get the $20 back, so it's a definite win for developers and Sony

Im buying Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Assassins Creed Liberation on my Vita next Tuesday, does anyone else have any recommendations on what the last 20$ on purchases should be for my vita?

So do you have be exactly at $100 or more? Because its impossible to get $100 in psn cards and hit that then with games being at 39.99, 29.99 and 9.99 price points. I'm already planning on going over a bit. I already have about $34 worth of games, going to get DR2OTR if the above trick works, FF 3 psp and Ragnarok odyssey. Going to save my $20 back and pick up Persona 4 Golden digital next month.

Im not too interested in the Lego games unfortunately. I have 110$ loaded up and ready on my psn account so I have 30$ extra in total, guess I should've mentioned that lol. I have a shit load of psp Games loaded up including FFT:War of the Lions and Tactics Ogre. I dont care much for Corpse Party. I do not know what I should spend the final 30 bucks on. Maybe ill just buy a 29.99$ Vita game I didn't purchase.
Orgarhythm is 29.99 I believe.

YES. As long as you subscribe to it on PSN. Store-bought subscription cards will not work. Subscribing on PSN will work.
As long as $100 leaves your PSN wallet, you can spend it on whatever you want.
