I live in Calgary and I can attest to the fact that it is kinda racist out here. Nothing too awful (that I've seen personally), but I do hear the occasional comment that I never heard out in Vancouver where I grew up.

We are the Texas of Canada after all....

Racism in Canada is the reverse of how it goes in America. The more North you go the more racists there will be. It doesn't get too bad since people in Canada are more passive to strangers.

lol desribing Europe as racist by Europen football fans.

If they hate something they hate it to the max level, if you are black then they will throw bananas if you are jewish they will sing songs, if you are mexican about how lazy you are, even if you are white they will make something up.

Also it is completly reversed by other team supporters. They don't hate the player, they are just looking for quick fun and try to influence focus of player.

That's not racist just dicks being dicks.

And it works like dick jokes, if you try to fight with it it will only grow more if you ignore it it will die quick.

If you want to be liked by people you must work for it.

StateofMind is a straight up trip. I won't even quote, just go back and read that first paragraph. What I previously felt was passive aggressiveness, I realize, is something else entirely.

Personally I got a white supremacist vibe from it all.

Mainly because black culture tends to be judged based on what the poor do, and white culture tends to be judged by what the rich do.

Oh wow, i didn´t notice it got unlocked, I asked kabouter if i could get a chance to explain myself but i did not notice it was actually unlocked right away.

Anyway, i just want to appologize for the bad OP. It was not meant as a EURO vs USA racism thread. I would never say racism does not exist in Europe, like some people seemed to think.

I was just honestly surprised that there where still such things as seperated proms at highschools going on in the US, and i wondered if such things where still common overthere. If anything, if that is the case, i can understand the responses in this, and the MLK thead better.

Again my apologies, i was just honestly shocked/surprised when i found out. I did not know the gap between races was still THAT big in some places.

Thanks Kabouter, you can lock it up again :).

'America' and 'Europe' are my two favourite countries.

Seriously, as an American, I find it dumb when I see people talk about Europe as if it is a big unified country or whatever. Those people don't realize that Europe spans countries like the United Kingdom and France to Russia and Romania. In this case, I am pretty sure that a black person would get a different experience if they were walking down the streets of Moscow to say the streets of London.

Well it is isn't it, in most poor areas in the world, whether it would be parts of the US in the south or Eastern Europe, to mainland China people aren't as equipped to travel a lot, especially abroad. So they're not going to expand their conscious range so to speak. Most of their ideas and thoughts of different people will either come from everywhere but first hand experience. Racism is a stagnant mindset, and is linked heavily to poverty.

People who travel a lot are probably the least racist people on the planet, and people who don't travel much tend to be the most.

A Black person would get more crap in Sunderland or Rotherham than they would in Spain.

He's had some other gems in other threads that made me make a mental note to keep an eye out for the duck with forearms. And now I know. It's not coincidental.

Nailed it, some fucking idiots on this planet.
