To be fair, the first one was a pretty janky too. So it would be par for course.

Just playing the first game (its amazing)....and compared to it the combat in VtMB2 looks absurdly more fluid. I think thats maybe the only weakness the first game had (and nowadays the graphics ofc).

I never expected AAA polish from this game, first one wasn't exactly a game you play for the great combat.
The dishonored are also a bit clunky.

But after 50 hours of precanned death animations of yotei, i'm gonna enjoy ragdolling motherfuckers left and right in this one, such a palate cleanser.

It's a joke based on previews. Basically, the game they are claiming is an rpg is anything but an rpg. It's more like a tell-tale game with kick Vampire ass mechanics.
