I totally understand why people want to see this stuff. I don't. I am just too sensitive. It sticks with me far too long.

It's three people in a trunk. They were probably dead even before people noticed that they were gone. It's dumb that the trunk wasn't checked for so long, but I doubt that it really would have helped...

The kids were probably most likely dead before the police arrived on the scene. Quite frankly the parents are quite lucky they didn't get slapped with a negligance charge.

Tragic situation all around.

Sure, they could have been dead. But seriously, why not pop open the goddamn trunk. *Sigh* So goddamn sad...

From what I read and heard, the cops couldn't open the trunk because the car was a really old model that doesn't have a trunk opener in the driver's side of the car. They had to wait for the father who had the keys to open the trunk to look inside, he probably wasn't around when they were searching the car.

Is this the real-life equivalent to not being able to hop over a 3 foot high fence in an RPG to reach an important destination that would otherwise take four hours to reach?

not to disrespect the dead, but what kind of stupid little kids play around by locking themselves in a trunk? How old were they?
It happens a lot. Most newer cars have glow in the dark triggers to open the trunk on the inside, though this was an older car which probably didn't have that option.

They looked like they were in grade 2 or something from the picture in the NY Post (I think that's the paper).

They weren't stupid, just being kids, so STFU.

you stfu. I was a kid and i never locked myself in the trunk (and i was a fairly stupid/crazy little kid). And they just said on the news one of them was 12. Thats old enough to know better.

Omg... :lol

I don't want to see it either. It's terrible. Ofcourse you can be curious, but it's stupid to be that curious. Sure, I was curious once. I've seen a guy's face getting blown off with a shotgun and some more crazy shit so I had enough. What do you except to get after you see the video? What kind of satisfaction?

Just gross. Dude.

you know, when i was a little kid, i always wanted to hide in the deep freezer or a car trunk, but i always thought "what if i can't get out" so i didn't...

300chf ain't shit to me
This reminds me of a time when I was about 5, maybe 6 years old, and I was playing over at a friend's house. For some reason, she got the bright idea to climb into the dryer, and she wanted me to climb in with her. I refused, my reasoning being, "it might turn on when you shut the door." Well, she went right ahead, and guess what happened? She was probably in there a good 5 minutes before her mom heard me screaming.

Kids get into everything. It's natural for kids to be curious, it doesn't surprise me that these kids wanted to get in the trunk of this car... perhaps they had made a game out of it?

You'll notice, though, that both of these situations could have been prevented with better parental supervision.
