It all was the private security staff from Virgin Megastore. I doubt the police would have not much better but still it has nothing to do with "French Authority".
I remember watching this live on the gaming channel Game One, I was so sad to see this happening. I was a big Dreamcast fan at the time so seeing this I knew Sega could never fight evenly.
