Virus/Trojan question

I was downloading various programs and files and for whatever reason, I forgot to scan for viruses in a RAR archive I downloaded. Anyways, I double clicked on the 1st file of the RAR archive and it began to decompress the package. AVG Free then pops up and tells me there's a trojan (Trojan horse Dropper.Small.10.AT) so I tell it to clean it and then I deleted the infected archive that caused it. I did a complete scan and everything seems fine but I still can't shake the feeling that something's wrong. Can anyone familiar with cleaning viruses/trojans tell me if there's anything else I should do to ensure my system is clean?

You can scan your system with Ad-Aware and Spybot if you want to make sure you don't have any adware or spyware. It looks like you've done about all you can do to scan for viruses.

I guess if you wanted to be extra sure, you could use a virus scanner that runs from a boot floppy. That shouldn't be necessary, though.
