Vita PSN Game And Service Thread

Any connection/connection speed issues? Sounds like there may not be enough bandwidth? I vaguely remember something like this happening when I was on the borderline of still having a connection

PS3 works fine :) so does ipad and android moby phone but vita no.

Even offline music shows same symptoms.

It probably won't be localized but time frames don't really have anything to do with it. The game came out in January of this year in Japan. Tales games can take nearly 2 years to come to the west. Graces f was released in late 2010 in Japan, and just earlier this year in North America. Xillia was a 2011 release in Japan, and will be a 2013 release in the west, lol.

I have Tales of the Abyss on my 3ds, and I begrudgingly switch it on while looking at my vita and just think, why not you too, why not any Tales/RPG?

Awesome, looks like if I activate my 1 month PS+ tomorrow, I can get Monster World for $1 and my subscription will lapse on Wed, Nov 21. That's the day after the Thanksgiving week store update occurs, so I SHOULD be able to take advantage of the expected sale that week on Tuesday the 20th. Yay!

Result: this also means I'll finally be getting MBA tomorrow. :)

Spoken like a true loser!
;)

lolz I'm usually a solitary player in fighting games like this (In SSBB it is usually me against my 3 friends) so it's a learning process + new game with not a lot of time. >.>

Heh yeah definitely. It's a fun game. Need to try the CrossPlay some time. Definitely one i plan on buying, anyway

Yeah launch day for me for sure. Getting my PS3 version so I can have Vita and PS3.

So is Street Fighter X Tekken a buy?
I have it on pre-order from Newegg (locked in the $29 price). But I'd be nice to know that others are buying it.

I don't like PSABR. I find it incredibly boring. Like painfully boring.

And everyone in this thread that doesn't own Dokuro is a bad person and should feel bad.

Dokuro looks ok but I'm gonna be honest I'm a bit tired and spoilt with platformers..wasn't patient enough with the videos to fully understand dokuro yet either.. loving PASBR though, my irl friend who was a huge GC smash bros fan finally turned his vita back on to play it so looking forward to that..hopefully no connection issues...usually it's very good but occasionally I'll get a disconnect or it resets and I get a different character.

Having a lot of fun with parappa and sly, getting a little annoyed with the killzone shooters though -_- Still, beta has definitely made me more likely to pick it up. Let's see how they sort out the retail cross buy situation too. I do feel kratos is slightly overpowered..not sure though.

Why do people find it boring? Competing for the most kills..avoiding deaths..only 2 maps (but I like them) and not too many items but that is just beta limits.. Had a bug where I couldn't pick up items once too. Also, it was a lot easier once I realised you could tap anywhere on the screen to pick up items..don't need to tap them specifically! Bit of a duh moment but I was doing it for ages. Lots of fun though..hope it is more polished later. Also those wavy backgrounds look way too high-tech for the game! (looks like autodesk's work..?) anyway, out of place, but nice! Can't wait to see the full game but will be careful of preordering.

KillThem and i had some connection issues earlier, but not too bothered. That's why they do these betas i suppose.

Just looked at this week's The Drop. Didn't realise there was so much out on Vita this week

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/10/21/the-drop-week-of-october-22nd-2012-new-releases/

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz (For PS Vita / On PSN) – Everybody’s favorite monkeys AiAi, MeeMee and GonGon are back for more banana collecting fun in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz for PlayStation Vita. Exclusively designed for the PlayStation Vita system’s unique functions, the game continues the motion-based experience of the previous adventure whilst making full use of the dual analog sticks and front/back-touch controls.
The puzzling primates return with all-new worlds, original mini-games and updated graphics adding a fresh new vibrancy to Super Monkey Ball. Players can manage each monkey’s momentum to navigate narrow ledges, moving platforms and loads of challenging obstacles. Roll your chosen ape to the goal by taking full advantage of the capabilities offered by this innovative new handheld console and challenge up to four friends in Wi-Fi enabled multiplayer modes. Fans can also enjoy revamped classic games such as the much-loved Monkey Target, along with brand new additions.

Street Fighter X Tekken (For PS Vita / On PSN) – Street Fighter x Tekken makes history as fighters from these two bastions of the fighting genre come together for the very first time. Utilizing the same 2D viewpoint and technology that powered Street Fighter IV, this game allows for Tekken characters such as Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams to make the transition into the Street Fighter universe having been re-imagined using Capcom’s much-loved art style. Their looks may be different, but these characters have retained their own unique characteristics and signature moves as they go head-to-head with classic brawlers from the Street Fighter franchise in what promises to be an explosive match up.

Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward (For PS Vita / On PSN) – Virtue’s Last Reward is the second adventure game in the “Zero Escape” series, in which players must make solve puzzles and make crucial decisions in order to survive a deadly game. You thought you’d defeated the Nonary Game, but now it’s back, and more deadly than ever. It’ll take cunning, skill, and more than a little luck to escape alive, but do you really have a choice?

Orgarhythm (For PS Vita) – Orgarhythm blends music and real-time strategy elements to create a new experience specifically designed for touch-enabled play on the go. Playing as the God of Light, players will battle the forces of the God of Darkness by deploying elemental soldiers for rhythm-based attacks synced to a hypnotic mix of rock, club and tribal music. In the game, rhythm is a weapon and different attacks occur on different beats, making the game’s catchy soundtrack dynamic to user input. Orgarhythm also has twelve maps and features both versus and co-op two-player modes via online play.

You forgot The Darkness 2!

The Darkness II – A departure for the series, with a focus on co-operative multiplayer action rather than traditional Psychological Horror. Players can work together as they explore several different Otherworlds, solving puzzles and defeating creatures to advance through the Nightmares and uncover the truth behind the Book of Memories. Scare rooms, limited resources, and dark atmosphere all return – but in a gameplay package specifically designed to take advantage of the PlayStation Vita.

We're also finally getting Frobisher Says!

Holy shit, they used the Book of Memories description for both Frobisher Says AND The Darkness II? I can't stop laughing.

Missed that one. Us Europeans have has Frobisher since launch (in fact, it was a preorder bonus) and it's honestly really good stupid fun. Had a night playing it with my sister, her fiance and my girlfriend a few weeks ago. Fits of laughter and good fun had by all. Give it a go.

E: Holy shit i didn't actually read the description. LOL hilarious.

This is not quite Vita related, but since we're talking about strange occurances on the store, the PSN version of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus was supposed to release this on both XBLA and PSN, now it's pushed back a week; however, they're saying November 1st, which is strange to me, because none of the stores update on Thursdays, do they?

I believe Asia territories update all throughout the week.

The store will make special exceptions for updates. Final Fantasy 7 came out on a Tuesday back when updates were on Thursday. I believe Assassin's Creed Revelations had a special Friday release in Europe too.

The Darkness II and a free co-op dungeon-crawler on PSN? What a week for Vita owners.

I don't think I'll be buying anything this week. Next week will be killer.

So this is now the de facto Vita thread? Left for a while and I come back to Vitathreadchaos.

ASBR is day one for me also. And I'm still yet to play with a Vitadogcatbro, pah
not mad. honest.

I'm planning to get VLR this week. I loved 999 and supposedly VLR is even better. Frobisher Says will be free so I guess I'll try that out too.

Clearly haven't checked for a while then, but I just noticed mine is a much lower res one as Carl's exact same one.

Don't hate on Fuka, she's just misunderstood
you're right i haven't since I'VE BEEN PLAYING VIDEO GAMES TOO MUCH TO NOTICE

but really she ain't got nothing on val fenrich and my man axel(EDIT: I called him Akutare but I never do that so fixed), plus this is only counting main D4 characters!

On an on-topic note, I'll play with you sometime soon. o:

How can someone not like Fuka. There is something wrong with them.

I'm still bitter that the US Limited Edition didn't have the Nendoroid.
