Vita PSN Game And Service Thread

It's a 3DS up port like all the previous LEGO games on Vita.

That's lame. What are the major differences?

Also general question about Vita can you have two different accounts on one vita? I have an EU and US ps+ account and would love to get both the games or at least be able to download the euro versions on my ps3 and transfer them to my US vita.

Not concurrently. You would need 1 memory stick for each account and would have to format the vita every time you switched them. No cross-account content sharing either so whatever account your Vita is currently on is the only region you can get/play games for.

I was just going to ask about this. What a pain in the arse.

Okay I just got done placing my import order for Virtue's Last Reward. Came to just under £30.

While I was pretty confident I'd get and like it, I had to play 999 first to make sure. While I'm not that far into it, it's enough for me to see that I'm gonna really like it. Awesome game so far!

Going to get a 2nd Vita from that amazon deal just so I can avoid having to do that for my US/JP account lol

Make sure to get the true ending, even if you need to use a guide. You've only half-completed the game until you do :V

Thats lame but I'll have two memory sticks in case one of them gets an amazing game that I really want to play. I can still play it. Does formating the vita erase everything (settings) or is that all on the memory cards?

Yeah it erases everything, settings, wifi password, wallpapers, app locations etc. Basically a factory reset, and you have to watch the intro video + do the setup each time. It's a pretty big pain in the ass but I wouldn't let it stop you if you really have a game you want to play on another account.

Piss Walker is a bad game anyway, you are a better gamer without it.

I can understand not liking it, but bad game is a stretch, Toto. I mean it's better that Portable Ops and Ops+.

Yeah, the end-game content is lazy (I blame that on Kojima copying Monster Hunter a little too much) but it's solid. I haven't tried it with the right-stick emulation but if you can get around the lack of right-stick on the PSP like I did it was solid. The PS3 port made it even better with the right-stick aiming ability. But it really wants multiplayer co-op for some of the later Ops (Peace Walker Round 3 EX++. EEP.)

Also I'm playing Uncharted and it's good but I wouldn't put it over U2 or U1 like some of ya'll are doing. I'd put it slightly above U3 for me but both U3 and GA are kinda weak. IMO. Not bad games, but story-wise (so far) they're both pretty weak.

I require good games sir >.>

So... Crash Team Racing, then?

Yep it's annoying. I'd rather not do it constantly, so i tend to do it in burst. I've got a few games on my US account I want to play, but I'll wait for a few more PSP games to be available on PSN before I switch since they probably won't come here in the UK. Then I can play them all at once.

If there's one thing I want on the Vita more than anything else, it'd be multiple accounts. Would easily be the most useful thing, especially since my brother is interested in the odd game as well

I agree with Seks on this one.

And the Persona thread guys arent answering my question >_> Anyone knowing how to get the Fish Hook in P4? Put it in spoiler tags if you know please.

Thanks to PS+ there are a lot of noobs in Wipeout. If you suck like me now is the time to play multi.

Is there win online achievements? Because if so I'd be down to make a private room and trade wins with you once I make some space on my card.

Well yeah, I found that as well. Problem is that the
Item shop at night doesnt carry the Fish hook for me. Is that being made available later in the game? I saw some suggestions that people were fishing on the day I am, though..

What day are you on? I'll try looking into it.

I just had some questions about PS+ on Vita, hopefully you guys can enlighten me.

Do I have to be online to boot up a free game every time? How does it verify that my subscription is still active if I never connect to PSN? Theoretically, I should be able to change the Vita's clock settings and never connect to PSN and I would be able to continue playing the games right? I'm confused as to how it all works. Thanks in advance!

Have you done
the bug catching bits? Apparently it's tied into the quest for the rod.

Also are you sure it's done in April? Maybe you're misreading posts because everything I'm seeing and remembering from the PS2 version says it's done in

No.
There's a timer you can see in the info page (not sure if that's in the PSP2)
HAHAHAHAHA, that's funny but: No. Timer is set to count-down no matter the time you change the hardware to.

hmm, I remember one of gaffer post a trick so you can skip that long intro video but I can't remember how.

How does it verify that my subscription is still active if I never connect to PSN? There is a date on the game that got activated when you downloaded it that corresponds with the PS+ membership dates. When you are offline and that date passes *poof*
Theoretically, I should be able to change the Vita's clock settings and never connect to PSN and I would be able to continue playing the games right? No, they use an internal clock or something which you cant access to check for those dates.

No, I am not sure, thats why I am asking. I only saw on my ingame "what did other people do" recommendation thing that some people were fishing, so I assumed that this was already possible. Might be NG+ players? Were quite a few though.

Havent done any
bugcatching
yet though, guess I'll look into that.

Yeah, it might be NG+. Because everything I'm seeing shows it is given later than the date you're at.

No.

PS+ games have your sub expiration date attached to them. Once your sub expires you automatically lose the ability to launch the games even if the system is offline.
Theoretically, I should be able to change the Vita's clock settings and never connect to PSN and I would be able to continue playing the games right?
Nope. DRM uses the internal clock in the system, not the clock displayed in the OS. Changing the time the OS displays to you does not affect the internal clock.

I know I'm late but

Legend of Mana - Great game, very unique, full of subsystems
Threads of Fate - Have to play it yet but I heard it's a spiritual successor to Brave Fencer Musashi, which was great
Alundra - Very good so far
N20 - Don't know
Wipeout - Don't bother with 2048 on your vita
Vagrant Story - Good but hard
Klonoa - Good
Medievil - Good and very atmospheric but the controls are outdated

Alright thanks :) I wasted way too much time looking for that.

>>X-COM: Enemy Unknown Port<<

Oh, nice. I'll pick that up over the PS3 version if 1) it isn't a downport and tailored to the hardware and 2) really good/there's a demo. The PS3 demo sold me on it but I haven't bought it yet. A portable version of the PS3 version would be awesome.

*insert any strategy title on Vita*

Its just a mock up.

all right I am going to buy one soon.

Does it serve as a good mp3 player?
Is there a netflix app?
Can you read e-books on it? Pdf files?

sucks it doesn't come with headphones though...some hotel cleaner my sony walkman with awesome headphones :(

I guess I have to buy a screen protector for dat screen?

Are you the one that had South Park downloaded?

lol, no. That was HampsterPampster:

Ugh. I saw in my email this morning that I bought something from PSN. At first I got scared thinking I had been hacked but I was positive I didn't have my CC info on the account (guess not)

Then I remembered one of my kid's friends was playing with my Vita. The little fucker bought a Southpark episode called "Cartman Gets Anal Probed." First things tonight I am removing my CC info and no one is allowed to touch the vita from now on

MASTER OF THE GOOGLE SEARCH IS ME.

..and why do I remember so many posts from this thread

I'm baaaaaaaack

Updated the list with some recent purchases : US Persona 4, Sine Mora, Malicious Rebirth, NFS: Most Wanted , AC3

Sine Mora is a really good fit for the Vita. But made me lust for Cave ports. I guess given Cave is up to it's knees in quicksand then that's probably a forlorn hope...
