Just saw this on CAG as well from CheapyD: "That Amazon AC III Liberation Vita Bundle appears to be the most popular item bought through CAG on Thursday/Friday. I'm shocked!"

I'm curious what will happen if the system takes off here but continues to flounder in japan.

Is it safe storywise to play U:GA before having played any of the other uncharteds?

Also, I'm halfway through Okami HD but a Vita version would have made so much sense, I guess it comes down to Capcom being Capcom and hating the Vita :/

Its a prequel so yes. Also, HOW THE HELL HAVE YOU NEVER PLAYED UNCHARTED?!

Using the vita for more than a hour makes my hands cramp and I'm thinking buying a grip for the system might help. What's the best grip on the market right now?

So after playing around with my new Vita some impressions:

1. I thought I would hate the fact its white, but I really like it. Nice looking system. The screen is HUGE! Totally forgot about the fact the back of the system is a touchpad as well.

2. Love the interface.

3. Having small hands it should be interesting to try out the touchpads.

That all being said I watched some reviews on Persona 4 golden and I honestly don't see the appeal. Way to kiddy, not serious enough, and I just don't get it.

I've got huge hands, at the start it was cramping after 30 mins of play. It's gone now though. It's kinda like the 'claw' setup for the Monster Hunter series on PSP, your body eventually becomes accustomed.

Just like with any new device you need to get used to it. When I first got the Vita I was holding it by the touchscreen and now I hold it by the back finger holders and its comfy as hell. Just give it time, if in a week or 2 you still are hurting then look into something else...

Since screen protectors get brought up, what's the general consensus here? Are they recommended or are there people here who don't use one?

Some people like the hori ones, I however have skipped screen protectors because this screen is so gorgeous. I have yet to scratch my screen but I do wipe it down with a microfiber cloth after ever use.

Thanks for your input. Guess I'll make due with a proper case and microfiber for the time being.

Time for a new lockscreen background i think.

(Shot from Playstation AllStars - it's great, you should buy it)

Are screenshots less compressed in 2.00?

For new PSVita owners looking for a case, I picked this up @ Gamestop the other day and am very impressed with thus far:

http://www.gamestop.com/ps-vita/accessories/ps-vita-vault-case/99612

Case is rock solid sturdy. Vita fits perfectly in and is not disturbed in transit, yet still easy to pop out when you need it. A nice little cloth flap comes down over the screen when the case is closed as well. Behind the cloth is 4 slots for games/mem cards.

Definitely worth the $25 to me.

This is what I am doing so far and am considering making it my permanent choice. Glad to see I am not the only one doing this.

I have the hori one and its wonderful. Went on easy and already saved me from a couple scratches.

I got the one that came bundled with the starter kit, and it was fairly easy to get on as well; I think I have one small air bubble that I failed to push out, but compared to some other screen protectors I've purchased, that's not too bad.

However, I noticed I actually have some scratches on the rear touch pad. I don't travel with the system, and keep it mostly on my computer desk. Not sure if it came that way, or if naturally happened from being moved around on the desk.

This video just proves how much more publicity the Vita is getting in the UK compared to here in the US.

It's sad.

That was launch night at the Game on one of our biggest shopping streets.

The Vita ads have only really ramped up in the last month or so as far as I have seen. They were there before but not in any great numbers. Now they appear in the middle of football games or during TV with half decent audiences.

There's tons of adverts about Vita in the UK at the moment. Big one at the moment seems to be a Lego LOTR Vita specific advert.

The only decent launch in the US that I am aware of was at the Sony Store in New York City. I don't think retailers like GameStop or Best Buy did anything major. No goodie bags or anything like that.

The only ads I have seen in about the last month or so were for the AC: Liberation and BO: Declassified bundles. The subway ad reminded me of the commercials back in the day for the PS1 and PS2, but neither of them can touch this one.

@SiDCrAzY just wait till that turn yellow.

Just like an old 360 controller!
Am I doing this right?!

Would a screen protector mess up the screen image or touch responsiveness? Also, anyone got any instructions/youtube links how to do it?

No. My touch is fine with the Hori screen protector; it was easy to put on and I have 1 small blemish that I don't even notice unless the screen is off.

This sold me on the Hori one:

I'm in the fence, but I'm mostly a single player, and I read that there isn't too much content for me :(

I'd agree. It's a party game, so playing it against friends is probably where it shines the most... you could play online, the netcode seemed competent, but sometimes playing against strangers isn't the same as playing against friends.

Sine More is a thing of beauty. And you get to kill this guy:

(Jesus, I just had the longest process possible trying to get this picture from my Vita to here, is there a quicker way than Flickr?)

What's wrong with Flickr? You just hit the picture you uploaded, right click for the size and link to it.

I've been seeing a LOT of COD vita ads (US) lately on many of the huge channels like ESPN. I still see some assassin's creed ones too though not as many now that we're almost a month from release. They did pick up a bit again so they could advertise the $200 black friday/saturday sale.

I mean doing this all from the Vita.

Doing it all from the Vita might be a pain. When you are next to a proper machine its really easy though.

Log in, get code, paste in NeoGAF.

Never tried to do it from the Vita tbh!

I don't like how it feels with a screen protector. I bought a package of 2 and the first one went on perfectly, so I could still put one on again in the future, but I sure don't plan to. I thought it felt bad and it just ever so slightly changed the color tone. That was with the official ones though, not the hori ones.

Makes you wonder why P4 isn't. :(

Wait it's not? Those official screenshots looked native res to me.

Edit: Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee, nevermind. I remember them looking much crisper than this though.

Edit: I guess I was just remembering the character portraits and UI being really sharp.

Persona is probably the best looking no native resolution game on the system. I think it looks gorgeous.

Have you played LittleBigPlanet Vita? That's not native res but gorgeous because of a good use of AA, based off the screenshots above Atlus couldn't even do that.

Got a Vita with that recent ACIII:L bundle deal. Very impressed with the hardware and UI so far and glad I bought one. Looking forward to checking out some more games besides Assassin's Creed.
