Everyone, buy Life of Pixel this week on PSM. The developers really need the suport, and Pixel seems like a cool project.

Didn't see it posted, so:

Dan Amrich is Activision's Social Media-Manager.

I hope they'll actually work more than 5 months on the game and with a better dev.

That makes no sense. Wouldn't it follow whatever the consoles are on, which would presumably be Modern Warfare 4?

The guy denied it anyway, so it's a moot point.

[nVidia's Shield] It's just going to push up Vita sales.

Even though I've recently got into Android gaming with my phone, one which works well with games and can even work with a sixaxis controller plugged into it - I don't have much of a reason to bother setting that up (other than emulation) - the games generally don't warrant a huge attachment or a chunky device to play them with. They are mostly time killer quality and I can just imagine all the incompatibilities.
The device is much less portable than the Vita and the less portable you get the more impressive the games have to be. Dead Trigger with proper controls will be nice, but not new device nice. Sony really should bring it to Vita...

Streaming from PC..if that works well that will be fun but again, it's not the same as the wiiU doing it - when you stream to PC you'll probably have to be sitting near it to set it up, which means the monitor will be on as well as the 700-1000W power supply feeding into your little controller. It feels neat but not something practical. Same as with that Vita app although I did have lag and screen size issues when trying it.

Emulators would be good since it's too tempting not to upgrade with each Vita firmware/system update - most would get bored of those though and will probably realise they want a Vita. If only Vita had android support (and better triggers) :(

--From the CoD thread (which is already locked) the guy said it was falsified - suggesting he didn't post it himself. Is that the case or did he just realise he could be in a lot of shit and delete it?

He doesn't post news on his account.

If nothing else it would signal a large publisher supporting the Vita even at the end of the this year. Can only be a good thing, but yea a more complete experience this time please.

Edit: JK, looks like it is fake.

I'm gonna go get either Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed or PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Decisions decisions ugh.

Not sure about Sonic & Sega Racing, and I couldn't get past MGS' controls, but PASBR has zero replay value outside of the mediocre, buggy online.

Sad that they couldn't bother to include some meaty single player content when Melee did it so well over ten years ago.

I guess what I'm trying to say is...wait until tomorrow for the Sonic demo to help your decision-making process, time travel to last week when MGS was on sale, and stay far, far away from PASBR.

Really hope Dynasty Warriors and Sonic Racing gets here today, or at least 1 of them. I know the last thing I need is to add to my games currently playing list but I'm anxious for something new.

Well I'm only interested in the online play of PS All-Star, really don't need any single player. :)

I have completed all MGS, so controls is no problem for me, so it's probably gonna be this one anyway and then I'll make do with the demo of Sonic. Then I can also wait for the Pokèmon announcement tomorrow and see if I should go get Black 2 or not.

Thanks for your feedback. :)

The online is still quite buggy, though. But its lobby and matchmaking are lightyears ahead of any other fighting game, so if you can overlook some major annoyances, you'll at least have a pretty healthy online community.

MGS:HD Collection on Vita was my first time playing either MGS2 or MGS3, so maybe I was less forgiving of the quirky controls for that reason. I'll revisit them...eventually.

Get all three then also buy LBP and SW. I guess you should also wait a day for the demo on Sonic Racing but nah.

PSASBR is great online (I don't have any issues connecting/playing). Hopefully even better with the new update that is due soon. Once in a blue moon I can't pick up an item or something online but the game is shitloads of fun.

And now we got 2 contradicting opinions about PS All-Stars' online. :D

I won't get LBP, that series is not for me, I'll be bored. What is SW?

MGS: HD Collection it is then.

If you're actually able to connect to an online game on PS All Stars it does play really well in my experience. Just beware everyone using the cheap ass Kratos.

The connection stuff is weird though. Sometimes I'm stuck in connecting mode for over 5 minutes only to either boot me or it puts me in but not with the character I picked.

Yeah, same here.

It's depressing because the online gameplay itself is flawless - probably the best netcode of any fighting game out there. Really feels like you're in the same room as your opponents.

Ahh, yeah I considered that at some point as well but I won't get it before later in the year, nice recommendation. :)
Going on sale soon. Buy it then like me.

You'll like Sonic Racing. Doesn't use front touch, rear touch, gyro or mic (except maybe for voice chat).

Doesn't Twitter need the owner to authorise apps that can post tweets on their behalf? I don't see how it works otherwise.

does this tweet on the persons twitter..? or just make a fake one that looks like twitter, that you then can copy and use..?
As far as I can tell it just makes it look legit so that you can copy it for use elsewhere, obviously it can't touch your timeline.

Finally a company who respects my intelligence. Who would have thought it would be Sega of all people? With a sonic game no less...
Wait, you bought Dynasty Warriors? Isn't that overloaded with unnecessary touch functionality?

Are many using the voice chat online? Can all participants in a race talk together while racing or just in the lobby?

Also, I just got turned off of Sonic a bit if it don't support the touch on the back or much of the touchscreen - that's why I bought a Vita. :/

Darn, this is quite the ugly duckling compared to Vita lol

Still, if it manages to be $200 or less (which there will be no way that it is) I will definitely pick it up.

You know, I'm not sure since I was playing in a party the one time I played multiplayer. And you can control the UI with touchscreen if you want. I still highly recommend it. It's a great game.

Have you guys tried opening ports or (even better setting DMZ for your Vitas?) - I do read about people with issues with the game (PSASBR)..but it just seem like routers port stuff as usual?

Also don't dismiss LBP too quickly (especially if you previously didn't enjoy the controls as they are decent in this). It's a lot of fun on Vita, controls tight enough to not be annoying as well. Jumping between layers also isn't as bad as it used to be...and you can download community levels for offline play! It's basically like owning another game store - but all the games are free.

Guys, there's a Project Shield thread, can you move all the discussion there? Cause it's boring and not what I'm looking for in a Vita thread. :)

The thing with LBP is not its controls, it's the fundamental gameplay - I am bored, outright bored.

Only started this last night, but I'm loving it so far. I played the original but never actually got around to playing LBP2 (I have it on my HDD), so the improvements particularly in the variety of the level types is pretty drastic.

For some reason though when I finish a level it only shows my score, even when I'm connected to PSN.

<3

I got it for $8. In the demo it seemed like the only time I had to use it was for the last boss of the stage. But yes it does have unnecessary touch crap.
I'm only going from people talking about it having quite a bit of it. I've never played a DW game personally, outside of a demo.

EDIT:

It has much more than that, sadly.
:(
