Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

I mostly dislike the way all the weapon pickups feel. They are all so flimsy and just boring derivatives of Mario Kart weapons. And I generally feel like Mario Kart 7 maybe spoiled me a little. The silky smooth 60fps and lively online community make a lot of difference for that type of game.

Random question:

If no more Vita games were announced, would you be happy with your Vita?
Persona 4 alone justifies my purchase. And DOA5 ensures that even if nothing else were ever released, it would still never collect dust for me.

(Still waiting on PSO2 localization news, Sega...the game comes out in a month...)

No way! I bought it for Gravity Daze, and while it was superb game, I would be pissed off if
I don't get to see a proper ending to that game

edit:I do own other games, btw – not just GravityDaze

Nope.

Unless they released a firmware that turned it into an Android device. Already contemplating selling it and getting one of those android powered handhelds, though I am worried about the build quality.

Really?

You'd prefer games like angry birds and cut the rope than games like uncharted and persona?

None gamer can be happy when games stop being announced for a console, your question is absurd.

Well there comes a point where you feel that you have had enough gaming joy with a device to feel satisfied with the decision to purchase it.

I was looking over the library of PSN/PSP/PS1 and Vita games and realized I could be perfectly happy with the library as it currently is.

It's also something to think about given the relative failure of the hardware to sell in any significant numbers.

Yes.

Because for a mere 169€ is an amazing gizmo with cutting edge technology for browsing the web, listening to music, browsing my PS3 trophies, using skype (I still don't have a phone with a front facing camera, nor a laptop with a built-in webcam), twitting etc. Yes of course it's redundant if you have a tablet, but I still don't nor plan to for the next few years.

Other than that (and more importantly I'd say) it has a huge catalogue of PSP and PSOne games and it's right now the best place where you can play those. I had a PSP but missed a lot of games I wanted to get into at the time. Also the fact that I only played Gravity Rush so far (and I liked it so much that I feel even just for playing it, it would have been worth spending 170€) helps.

Naaahhhh.... Going over retro games with a new hardware doesn't match to my idea of new console ^_^
And I'm not goind to think Vita is going to fail, maybe will be like a diesel engine with a slow cold start (or maybe a hard start to break users prejudices) but in the end will do decently (AKA well for users)

DJ Max is proving to be a pretty difficult game. Just the positioning of my hand obstructs my view for a significant part of the screen. I do like it though despite not knowing any of the music or even how to tackle some types of notes.

edit: Finally tried RCR and wow that game is cringeworthy. There's probably some fun to be had but I'm not sure if I want to sift through the shitty story/dialogue to find it.
