Use the practice mode on the first course since that's what this is. It just takes practice and a "feel."
Do the tournaments BTW. You unlock the golfers and better clubs/balls that'll help your stats.
I really should've made the rules "beginner characters only." But I wasn't sure where everyone was at on the same page. I guess I'll do that if ya'll want to do one more round.

Alright, last one for me. Room is up. Same course but 1-9 (9 holes out) again so the previous players of my first room will know the course.
I haven't unlocked the other courses or players yet. So I set the rules to Novices (Yamato and whats her face) only so new players have an even match.

Thanks for the tips. I didn't think I'd really like the game so I didn't bother playing, but I had a lot of fun so I'll get into it and get better stats.

That was my first online match and I were in 4th/5th place for a while but at the very last hole went crashed to 8th and last place haha.
It's seriously one of the best online experiences I have had on Vita if not the best.

I should've switched memory cards..... but back to studying for me. Maybe after my quizzes are over for the week i'll be able to jump in. I only have novice characters unlocked so it seems like I'd be on par with the the bottom of the board.
Btw do any of you try the daily tournaments? I've done like 3 of them, and done garbage each time. Some hard courses and i was just using Yamato with the default ball and club sets.

Second place Woooh. Im not good and always get crushed when i play with randoms. Plus i havent played in a while so im happy lol
Alright, I'm done. If you guys want to continue triangle->multiplayer room->create a multiplayer room. The "New Stroke" gametype is what we were playing (max of 8, otherwise the other two is max of 2 players AFAIK). You can change the rules and everything. (OUT) is 1-9 (IN) is 10-18 in terms of the course. Otherwise you can set it for the full 18 holes if you want.

Don't worry, I don't think you're alone. P4G was a huge deciding factor for me, and I've never even played any Persona games before getting my Vita.
Also, I dunno if you guys know, but use the up-down on the D-pad to gauge your shots. I started with normal and made the shot timer longer to longest so you can plan your shots. Also if you don't know you can do the "power shot" with square. Your character will then be "on fire." But this has a limited use (unless host makes it unlimited which kinda breaks the golfing/room) of like 8 or so, IIRC it regens but very slowly so you might as well count it as unregenning. You can use it to further your shots over some long distances and going through trees and some things if you plan the shot well and hit your impact.
Also if you're using the impact meter if you're RIGHT NEXT to it a little but a late, you'll still get a NICE SHOT but you'll be right (if left-handed) or left (if right-handed) in the shot. Otherwise you "chip" too far to the right/left of your handedness and the shot drifts from where you want it.
I dunno about the other meters, so get a feel. As for putting the lines show you how fast the elevation will drift/drag your ball. But I can't give you a good advice for it since I'm not the best putter.

That's why you pull your view back and IIRC tap where the ball will land to tweak the shot. But that's not very practical in "New Real" mode with everyone doing shots and the shots being timed (esp. if on "shortest" timer) because you have to fiddle with the touch-screen and then touch the camera on the touchscreen to return to your golfer/shot.
I dunno who Linski was, but they were absolutely DESTROYING all of us. Like -2/-3 per hole. Crazy how they're -7 at the end of 9 holes while the rest of us are like -1/-2 :lol

No, we haven't really played games together as a group much before. That was a blast. Wipeout would be fun too.
You know, HSG was one of the best examples of online working beautifully on a handheld. Everything was just so seamless. Absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to play some more with you guys.

Yeah, and what I really love about HSG is the lobby and how we can send short messages to each other with chat. It feels like a community.

Skyzard, lyphen and I managed to get a couple of races in but it was kind of hard to get set up for some reason. May have just been a weird day though. I wish it had a lobby system like HSG; would have made it a lot easier. Actually, I wish every game had a HSG-like lobby system

How are you suppose to set it up? Invite people from your friends list while in queue and hope they make it in?
