Got my PDP Trigger Grip today from Amazon, once this thing is in place it's like an entirely new device. I can actually play Wipeout now without my hands cramping up after 2 laps!

Outstanding product.

Since we don't have a confirmation of English Muramasa...is it playable without understanding Japanese?

I can't believe PSN is still down :\

I was just about to download Sound Shapes and have been left dry. (Bought it on the PS3 when it was on sale earlier but didn't DL)

Yes the PS Logo is facing up. I've never had an issue before. Trying USB into the PS3 while it's on still nothing. I am not buying a new vita sony can fuck off. I haven't used it in probably 2 maybe 3 weeks. I assumed the battery was dead but it's been plugged in for probably over 3 hours and still nothing. AC adapter breaks from non use? Stupid.

My preowned one had this issue, just take it back for a replacement
 
Got my replacement Vita back from Sony! Excellent!


But now I'm regretting my digital download lifestyle with the Vita.

With PSN down, I can't access any of the games on my memory card. Super lame. :(

I suppose this should be a warning sign to me to try and buy physical copies from now on.

Escape Plan: Yay or wait for Plus/discount. Demo was alright but how does the gameplay hold up on more advanced levels?

I was tempted by LBP Vita retail going cheap few days back but I refused cause I want 100% digital. Kinda regret it nao :(.
 
Called sony. Tried using my phone's adapter with the vita usb and still didn't work. Either vita battery is dead or the usb cable is borked. Apparently it's stll under warranty but I have to find my original receipt which is hidden somewhere in a drawer... :( lol. Not even sure if I'm gonna bother. Could always buy another adapter and see.

Battery seems the most likely culprit, I'd wager.

It's times like these where I wish I could just get a month of PS+. Provided it's some good sales.
 
Is FF6 for the PSX worth buying? I really want to play it again but I remember how slow it was back in the day on the original PSX. Is it still like that on the Vita?

Yep. Same load times. I don't think the "disc speed" option helps any. Just a terrible port. :(

How do PS1 games in general look and perform? Do they run just as well as they would on a PS1? Does the image quality suffer anything worth mentioning if you stretch to full-screen?
 
Can someone help a fellow Vitabro out? I posted about the error messages Ive been getting trying to copy content from PS3 to Vita, namely PSP games I have saved on the HDD. I have enough room on my mem card, and I was able to copy games two days ago, but since yesterday I get an error message. Im wondering if its due to PSN being down.

If anyone here can test my theory and try to copy a PSP game they have on their PS3 to Vita and see if they get an error message. Im just paranoid if might be something with my consoles or Vita or my account.

Please let me know. :(

PS1 games, especially the ones with prerendered backgrounds looks fantastic. Some PSP games look like shit though.

i just copied disgaea 2 over to try ti out. worked fine. are you using content manager? its totally different with a vita then with psp

Yeah, using content manager. Lemme try again and see what error message I get.

edit: just tried to copy God Eater burst, in bubble format. I got C0-11019-2 error message.

Not all games mind you. But someone like P3P are a jaggy pixelated mess. I wouldnt worry about Type-0 though, 3rd Birthday runs on the same engine and it looks fantastic.

That example isn't quite just "stretched" but strategically scaled to fill the screen. Depending on your point of view, most games look okay stretched -- some games have distortion, but it's only slight... I've been using the full option when I tried out Wild Arms and I thought it looked fine.

I'll be joining the 32gb brotherhood tomorrow so a few questions...

Will all of my settings (wallpaper and the like) be saved to the Vita or the memory card?

Likewise will the save data being stored for games I've deleted need to be transferred as well?

To that point, what NEEDS to be transferred?

Yup restarted Vita, PS3, router. Still same error. I think theres some sorta DRM thing thats keeping the games locked while PS Store is down. So shitty. So basically, even though Ive bought these PSX/PSP games, I dont actually own them if Sony decides.

that's a true statement, that is how digital platforms in general work, you don't own them you own a license to them if steam decides you don't deserve your games they can take them away just like sony or nintendo or microsoft.

anyways all my ps+ games still seem to work just fine.
