Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

I've decided that I'm going to jump back into best GAF. I haven't been following the Vita threads since about the 3rd launch one.

Looking at that list of games has me pumped for the Vita next year. It's my most played console anyway so I will no doubt be buying most of those. Here's hoping Sony release a 64gb or 128gb memory card before March, I'm already having to delete games from my 32gb card.

P.S Merry Christmas!

All I want for Christmas is you a 64GB card.

For some reason, I don't like deleting games, even ones I've long completed.

I hate it. I never delete anything if I don't absolutely have to but I reckon I probably have a good 40-50gb of games attached to my account so obviously I can't have everything.

PS+ is amazing but Sony can only go so long before every single PS+ user absolutely has to have bigger than a 32gb card.

Quick question. I have the 4gb card that came with the Vita bundle and my initial plan was to just play one game at a time delete and download the next one. However if I delete a game won't I loose all my save data too? and if I ever upgrade to a bigger card theres no way to transfer all my data/progress right?

Don't delete the game, back it up to PC

Along with the above PC suggestion you can also back it up to the cloud if you have PS+
You should definitely have Plus

Speaking of this how do I upload saves on the cloud through my Vita? Do all games have the option?

I've been so busy playing Persona 4 that I haven't really looked into it.

Pretty simple with content manager. I don't remember the exact step-by-step but it's straightforward once you open content manager.
Eh, the tricky thing is finding out you need to click those i icons.

what are the steps for doing that?

Also, how do i turn on cloud saving? I looked for that option the other day and couldn't find it. If I turn it on will it retroactively put my uncharted data on the cloud?

The cloud save options are similar to the regular back-up. Open content manager and then copy the saves to the cloud. I believe they then back-up automatically after that.

Edit: Yep, every game has the option to back up the saves to the cloud.

Do you guys think it's worth buying MgsHD on the Vita for cross-save functionality?
(I own it on the PS3, but haven't played it yet - and I would have a little bit of time on various days to play the game away from home)
-Also, I have PS+ - is there any chance that this game will pop up on there?

Ahh ok, thank you!

Love this machine.

Yes, I have MGS HD on PS3 and just bought it on Vita in today's sale. It's totally worth it IMO, play the games on TV when at home and on Vita when traveling or TV is in use. Can't wait to platinum these games!

As far as PS+ there is a really nice sale right now for MGS. Sony has said they will not do PS+ sales and then make those same games free right after as this would piss off people who purchased during the sale.

Not PS+ related, but it was kind of shady for the RCR devs to drop the price to $9.99 one day before making it free for PS+ subscribers.

Not sure why they did that.

Thanks to all that gave me Gravity Rush advice. Leveling up my powers made all the difference. Just a half dozen left to go.

yeyy, my first and probably only gift i get this Christmas.
thank you sega for alex kidd x'D

but sincerely that's a lame plane trying to pass as a car. xDDD

Well, finished Persona 4. Vita might be going in the Ottoman for a while. I don't really see much that's looking interesting to me. Will probably check out Plus stuff every so often.

I'm wondering how early they'll announce new Vita titles because I need something.

got a 32GB memory card for xmas which means I have an extra 4GB sitting here. can I just make a Japanese PSN account on it and then swap back and forth easily without losing stuff?

For all the Vita Sisters and brothers who got Crush or Dokuro, thank you for supporting good games.. you are good people.

say yes to good games

I know pretty well about your Vita likings so far, but I am curious. What are other games you really like on other platforms?

This gen? there are tons of games that I really like on all systems..few examples

PC The Witcher 1/2,Amnesia,Alice Madness Returns(my Goty 2011) Dishonored (my Goty 2012) Stalker series, Alpha Protocol,New Vegas,Risen,Saints Row 2/3 ,Portal,Burnout Paradise..and many others
PS3 Folklore(game of the generation) GT5,Uncharted2,inFamous1/2,Ridge Racer 7,Siren,Yakuza 3 and Kenzan Valkyria Chronicles and many others
360 Condemned: Criminal Origins,Crackdown(2 is not good),Lost Odyssey,Geometry Wars 2, the first Gear of War was good too.
Wii ...well wiimote made me hate myself but Metroid Prime count even when it was a port(2 and 3 are not as good).
and there are huge amount of other games I like and I can't just keep writing them here.

You won't lose anything but I think you still have to do a full restart every time you switch.

Weird, I was just looking on Play Asia at Dokuro. I'm considering importing it. Is it just a typical side scroller?

Edit: Sorry for the double post. I'm tired :/

It's a puzzle platformer,so Dokuro is not typical mindless side-scroller,but it's smart, long and challenging game.beautiful and so good.

Merry Christmas Vitabros!

As an early present, here's next week's crappy Paint fanart TODAY:

Buy Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus and you too can look good in a latex Santa outfit!

It's primarily a puzzle game, but plays like a platformer.

Thanks guys, I think I'll order it. A puzzle platformer sounds cool and it's only £20.

Congrats, and I'm currently updating this abandoned thread:

Suggestions are welcomed.

I don't have suggestions but I'm glad you are. I for one am always looking for upcoming releases and the likes of Amazon are never accurate.

I am so glad I checked this thread and saw that Unit 13 was coming up $13 on the Vita store. Bought.

So I ended up buying Journey and Unit 13 today, with RCR being free. Not bad!

Did you guys see what NA is supposed to get for Vita+ in Jan? Fucking SCEA man...

PS+ issues are like rich people problems to me :P

the "real" big problem is than in the next three months Vita is a wasteland(new releases-wise) people who just got Vitas are lucky since they have many older games to play. SCEA need to at least get some good new surprise DD games.

so moe games are hot on vita it seems it's getting atelier moomoo or something koei-tecmo going ham porting all their games

can't wait to not play ninja gaiden sigma 3 plus in 2014
