As will all the pro-life democrats you want to fund in 2018
Does 1 issue really dictate which party you're aligned to? If I have one opposing opinion to the democratic party, does that make me a republican?

During the rally, Jim Justice said something along the lines of "at least now we have a chief of staff whose first name we can pronounce unlike under the last guy." The crowd erupted. Literally one of the biggest applauses of the night.

I think it makes you alt-right.
In reality it makes you and independent thinker who doesn't tow the party line.
Shocking you would misunderstand so badly.
Has Trump made his major announcement yet? How late is this rally going?
Alt-right is pretty extreme. Aren't most of them white nationalists? That's a stretch over a view of abortion.
-SourceFor expressing his view, Mr. Weinstein was confronted outside his classroom last week by a group of some 50 students insisting he was a racist. The video of that exchange — ”You're supporting white supremacy" is one of the more milquetoast quotes — must be seen to be believed. It will make anyone who believes in the liberalizing promise of higher education quickly lose heart.

I think being independent isn't actually a thing in American politics since there are really only two parties which win the vast majority of offices. Independents are just closet democrats or republicans. They all end up leaning towards one and voting that way. Of course there are a few outliers and there can be some minor variations depending on the type of election (ie federal vs state, local, etc) but the vast majority may identify as being independent but most end up voting along party lines during federal and state elections.
What misunderstanding? Centrist turns out to be former republican who then goes back to said party. Meanwhile, Centrists keep saying we have to vote for anyone with a D next to their name (while mocking Republicans for doing the same thing...talk about being hypocrites). Nothing Centrists have said since election has been even remotely correct.

Independents are just closet democrats or republicans. They all end up leaning towards one and voting that way. Whether one likes it or not, it's not possible to avoid towing along a party line because there are only two choices to choose from. this would be different if American elections were held differently and districts weren't won entirely by a single person.
Wrong. Independents make up over 40% of the electorate. The only reason that that whole "closet Dem/Repub" nonsense is touted is because of FPTP. We are forced to vote for either party. Ask the majority of independents and they will tell you that if FPTP was ended right this instant that they would not vote for either Dems or Repubs.
There are people who are fiscally conservative (as in they believe in a true free market and low taxes) and are socially liberal. I know a few people like that living in Texas which makes sense. They believe that the free market, if left to be will work, and that all people should have the same rights regardless of gender, race, religion. Those people I guess would qualify as either independent or libertarian I guess.
Now are they right on the free market part? Probably not. I believe if you have a true free market with little to no oversight, companies will just collude to fuck everyone over because, well, they've been doing it forever and the only time they stopped doing it was when competition was bountiful and they regulated and prevented from swallowing up all the minnows.
"Economic" anxiety.During the rally, Jim Justice said something along the lines of "at least now we have a chief of staff whose first name we can pronounce unlike under the last guy." The crowd erupted. Literally one of the biggest applauses of the night.
I know all about this and I find it ridiculous.
Something tells me this guy was never a Democrat at all.During the rally, Jim Justice said something along the lines of "at least now we have a chief of staff whose first name we can pronounce unlike under the last guy." The crowd erupted. Literally one of the biggest applauses of the night.

Do you ever get tired of virtue signaling?I think it makes you alt-right.

If you have a hard time pronouncing the name "Barack", you've got bigger issues than who the current president is.
That's saying a lot, I realize, but it's true.
He has switched parties multiple times. In 2015, he was a Republican.Something tells me this guy was never a Democrat at all.

Barack was chief of state. He's referring to former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, now replaced by Kelly. If you have a hard time pronouncing the name "Barack", you've got bigger issues than who the current president is.

Then tomorrow you'll ask does 2 issues really matter. Then the next day you'll ask if 3 issues. Then the day after that you'll ask if 4 issues really matter, and so on and so forth. Pretty soon, you're just voting a democrat in name and GOP in issues. The democrats keep pivoting to the right to earn votes.

Outside potentially running pro-life candidates where do you see this happening?
What's the breaking point for that, though? Or is there even one?
Like, for instance, could a newly elected president theoretically just switch parties shortly after being sworn in, flipping on almost all their key positions, and just claim they "changed their mind on things" and still get to be president for the next four years?
When it comes to abortion
Yes
Stop.As will all the pro-life democrats you want to fund in 2018
I'm sure the next time the winds shift and he flips to being a Democrat again the Democratic party will ignore this and support him again since he's a proven winner.
