If Trump loses to a Democrat next election, I doubt they'll pardon him. I suppose Trump could resign after he loses to let Pence pardon him though if Pence wants to take the fall.

I hate Pence, but would be a genius move by him if he did that. He would manage to keep Trump's entire base for the next election.

If course they would tell you that. I wouldn't even disbelieve they truly believed that. But then when it happened they'd find some reason they can object when the same action was from a democrat.
