After nearly four years, the official Warner Bros Games Montréal Twitter has finally broken silence, and tweeted out a video in celebration of Batman day; though it's the quick images that flash throughout the video that has everyone talking about a potential new Batman video game.

I'd be down. The Arkham games were great, although I only ever played Asylum (maybe I should fix that).

What's Rocksteady up to these days? I thought they were working on a Superman game, but that doesn't seem to be panning out after so long. Seems like they could be on this.

(Edit: I guess WB Montreal is a dev studio? I guess that would be our answer, my bad. : P )

If it's less glitchy than Origins, I'm in. It had a good story, too bad it was held back by the glitchy and overbearing open world.
 
I hope if they are making a new game they change/evolve the gameplay a lot more like recreate the combat system and drastically improve the open world elements. I personally start to think it's getting stale, I find myself enjoying the sequels less and less. I think a lot of the appeal is the cool art and cool cutscenes every so often. But I also think the underlying story for these games are pretty mediocre with cool flash scenes.
 
I'm game, as long as it isn't focused on the god damn Batmobile. SERIOUSLY, this damn car was the reason Knight was the only Arkham game I didn't beat.
 
I know it won't be the case, but I wish we were getting a double dose of Batman upcoming. One Court of Owls game from WB Montreal, and a "Battle for the Cowl" type game taking place after Arkham Knight by Rocksteady. Wishful thinking, sure. But a man can dream.
 
Warner Montréal?

Honestly, I don't know what's with that city, but almost every studio but the Ubisoft one (which is their head one basically) there is composed by a B team, Eidos Montreal was basically a one hit wonder with DX HR, their last title was Shadow of Tomb Raider and its considered the weak of the reboot series. Bioware Montreal which was merged after the disastrous case of Mass Effect Andromeda. And then, finally, Warner Montréal who developed the weakest entry in Arkham franchise.
 
They have some pretty big shoes to fill after Arkham Knight and Injustice 2.

I hope it's not some focus-tested live-service online-only in-game store 120$ deluxe edition kind of game.

It probably fucking is.
 
The only problem with Arkham Origins was the upgrade system. It forces you to perform challenges in a specific order, which was a pain in the ass. Otherwise, the game is better than City and Knight.
 
I'd take another Batman game like the Arkham series. Even Knight which gets a lot of flak. Origins was surprisingly good.

Bring on that Court of Owls! I read through the whole arc for the first time a few months back in preparation for if the rumors were true.
 
I hope it will have a living breathing Gotham City with people and cars in it. It might be hard to do but I really want to see it.
 
I just hope it's not that terrible Damian game that was rumored.

I'd be happy if this was a new Batman game that doesnt take place in the Arkhamverse.

Arkham Knight is Rocksteady's game and yes, it looks amazing to this day cuz it's one of the few and truly next-gen games this generation. I really hope the new game is only for next-gen and PC.

This will be a Batman vs Court of owls game, prequel to the Arkham trilogy iirc
 
I hope they scrap that horrible Batmobile and put the Motorcycle instead (for races and mobility only).

Bat-tank from Arkham Knight belonged to Mass Effect, not to a Batman game

To be honest, a (moderately used) Batmobile without tank mode would have been fine.
I would like to see a Batmobile + Batplane (not just fast travel videos) combo.
 
Maybe state of play reveal. I mean its tomorrow. But yea the teasing is getting annoying at this point. What if they waited until the game awards in December? lol
